Raiders Swoop

Post by Strider »

Here are the pics I promised on how to achieve a more Raider-esque swoop with your Adventurebilt's brim.

First, I hold the hat in my left hand, like this:

Image

Then, using my thumb on the outside and pointer finger on the inside, I pinch what is the right side of brim (but in your left hand) upwards, so that it looks like this:

Image

I hold it like that for a minute. Then, I take the other side of the brim, which will be on your right, but is the left side of the brim, and curl it up like this:

Image

This is the end result:

Hope that helps.

Thanks strider for posting that. I handle my hat the following ways.

1) I take off my hat this way.

2) and I hold it this way

and I get what you see in my avatar. It kinda works out the same way.

It's funny to see how new your hat looks, J. I wear mine every day, and the words "handmade fine fur felt" have started to wear off the sweatband. LOL. I put my card in the sweat, too, just like you, but I had to put a plastic protect-o sleeve over it so that when I sweat, it wouldn't ruin the bloody thing. LOL!

Regards,
The word "Federation" has worn off the front of mine, as well as the Akubra seal which is on the left hand side of the hat. His hat looks very nice inside... beautiful new hats... ahh.

That's a must have video. It includes two one hour shows that aired on T.V. in 1981. The first was a major network show with Ford narrating on camera sporting a beard. He interviews two of the Raiders stunt men, among other things. The "Making Of...." , the second show, aired on Public Broadcasting, parts of which are used in the Bonus Material DVD. You will not be disappointed.
