Yes, you guessed it folks! It's yet another unfinished project by CrazyLegs! :D

This time I want to make the ultimate hat stand. One that will not only look awesome, but will keep the shape of the hat.

So, to start...what do you think would look cool and suit the Indy style?

(P.s. Yes I am still working on the other projects! I am layed off in two weeks, so I have a lot of time to finish them!)

I always get a kick out of your projects. How has it been going?

They are all good!

The Idol is looking great. The MKVII Ammo Pouch is about ready to be sewn, and this thing is gonna look amazing!

Oh, and the Cufflinks....but I'm putting that on hold until the others are done.

But come on now...you must have some ideas! Stone? Wood? anyone? :D

So here are some mock-ups so you can see what my idea is. I would like to have it (As you can see in the pics) so there is a hat stretcher/anti-taper part on the top that can be set to the proper size.

The idea is that the sweat and the sides will be supported, without touching the bashes.

What do ya think?

The idea is to have a hat stand that keeps the fedora from losing shape, but looks like something that is Indy style.

I think that a nicely finished and stained(mahogany is perfect IMO) wooden stand, lightly distressed, would be the perfect Indy Hat-Stand.

Thats a pretty nice-looking mock-up as well, you really *are* slacking off at work, aren't you  :P

I don't know about the stand, but I love the hat in that last pic! 8)

Actually the stand looks pretty cool also. :)

I think thats jpenman's hat if I'm not mistaken.

Honestly guys, my feelings won't be hurt if you think it looks like poop! I welcome your thoughts and suggestions.

Since you are into idols, how about shaping the stand like the idol? You could use the arms to support the sides of the hat and the fingers to keep the center dent correct.

Good idea!

I would really like to design something that has class as well as functionality. I mean, right now they are on these red head things I used for making bald heads for make-up, but they just don't do justice to the coolness of the hats.

crazylegs, I thought I saw that hat before :D . It's kinda a hat stand and hat strecther. I like the idea. One thing could you make it like a well finished wood base( I hope that was clear)?
