Wested - Lady's Jacket?

Hi,
on the wested-website I read that they also offer the "Indy Jacket" in a version for ladys:
Is it only available in men's sizes?
Although we quote in men's sizes we also make in women's sizes and children from aged five upwards prices on request. Please note on the order form if it is for a lady as the pattern is different.
Does anyone know HOW different? Maybe someone even has a pic? I asked Wested for information but they only said that they only had the pics on the website.
I'm asking because I would like to buy a Wested but I'm not sure if it looks too much like a men's jacket. I don't want to look like a girl dressing like a man you know.

It seems like I remember reading that there are a few difference in the cut, but other than that I think there the same. Although I'm sure ITG or Canyon will know.

If that is you in that pic, then you are in no danger of being mistaken for a man even if you do...pretty cute indeed!
Thats right, I flirted, what are you all looking at!?

I've never looked at ITG or Canyon as women in men's clothing; only as fellow gearheads, and their feminine appeal is not lost within the jacket. Such as you look in the jacket as well.
WELL SAID!
Yes, Pandora, I second everyone else's sentiments that no one will look upon you as a woman dressed as a man. I believe ITG and Canyon can tell you more about the specifics of the jacket.

However....despite my poor attempt at being swave, I do understand where you are coming from as far as looking like a ladies jacket.
I mean, even though it's an Indy Jacket, and YOU know that's what it is, it could look very much like you are just borrowing your guys jacket, which is understandable.
What I would maybe do, is try to get a few pics of a jacket style you like, then, I would see if Wested can copy that style using the existing Wested patterns.
Something like:
or
Obviously these are way more fitted for a womans body type, smaller arms, and the like. I am sure you could get Wested to build an Indy Jacket based on these.
I personally would like to see what it would look like. The slimmer, more fitted version would look pretty cool with some tighter brown pants, and some heavier boots! (And by cool, I mean Hot)

HI, thanks for the replies so far!
I'm still thinking about which type of jacket to choose... I would like to chose wisely...
Once more I asked Wested for more detailed information about the lady's pattern. It's a dilemma... I would like to have a jacket that is as accurate as possible but it has to fit as well. Maybe I throw a coin...
The jacket on the avatar is black leather jacket. It's OK but not as good as a Wested would be.
Now I'm waiting for the answer from Wested, maybe I know it after that...
So Canyon and ITG: what do you think?

I went with the authentic lamb with my first Wested, and I love it. Of course, I don't know the nuances of goat or cow, horsehide..anything like that..I just know I love my wested, and its an authentic lamb. Hope that helps.

Got an answer from Wested with a quite good argument:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I will recommend that you order a mans jacket as both unisex were the
men's jacket. But not both can wear the ladies! I am only being honest.
Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Cheers Gemma
So I think I will order the men's version... the other details are clear: authentic brown lambskin (even if I really feel sorry for the poor little lambs that had to die for the jacket, sorry)
Now I hope I did the right measuring: They want to know the chest... When I measure it how loose should it be? I want to be able to wear a pullover under it, so do I have to loosen it a bit more?

Those feelings go away pretty quickly when you open the Wested box and see the gorgeous custom-made jacket. (If it makes you feel any better, the lambskin leather that Peter uses for jackets came from the really ugly lambs with big buck-teeth and bald spots.)

Yeah, and they died for a good thing: a Wested... but anyway: sorry little baby sheep...

Expert? Me? 8-[ Thanks for the compliments (although I'm NOT an expert on Westeds, I just ordered my first one a few days ago).
Now we two are definitely prepared for the next summit!
@ Feraud: Good looking jacket!

And they are just the right age to start artificially distressing them. When they become

Pandora,
I think that it would be best to measure yourself as accuarately as possible, then tell Wested that you would like enough room to layer something underneath and let Peter determine how much extra room you need.

Thanks guys for mentioning me.

What jacket do you have on in your avatar? It looks fine there. As the others have stated, there's no worry that anyone would find a reason to see you as a woman dressing like a man. Besides, the Wested is universally akin to adventure. Beyond that is the spirit of the person wearing it.

Whether it's a womens' cut or a standard cut; a lady in a Wested only adds intrigue and she is that much more appealing.

Tone, you sweetie!
Pandora, sorry I didn't get to see this post earlier. I have not been online much over the past week or so. Here are some pictures of me wearing my Wested.
The great thing about this item of clothing is that it makes an excellent jacket for a lady as well as a man.

@canyon: Yes that's exactly what Gemma from wested told me and what I see on your pics. Looks good on men and women.
I ordered it some minutes ago. It will make a great jacket to wear every day. I will post a pic when I got it.
I just saw that I mixed something: on my avatar I wear a wested... one of the guys at the summit gave it to me for the pic...

Waiting for the jacket is not the problem, it's exciting... like waitin for christmas.
may sound strange but I'm getting some kind of mental connection to my jacket, I alway think about: what are they doing with my jacket right now?
fall and winter: I'm ready!!! Are you?

I don't think you ladies have to worry about that Elsa wore it at the castle and it looked good on her. . . . What were the specs and any extras?

Pandora,
You have indeed... Chosen wisely! I have never been so in love with a article of clothing and I have been known as a clothes horse for years. The quality of the leather and workmanship is absolutely superb. You will love it!
Wear it proudly.

My fiancee's jacket arrived from Wested today. It's not an Indy jacket, but rather a contemporary style called the R-zip (in black lambskin). She is at work right now, and I promised not to open it until she gets here. I can't wait to see how it looks!

Ladies, I would have to concur with several of the posts on this thread. You are in no danger of looking like a man. You both wear a Wested well.
Canyon: Good show! Dig on the pictures. You do the Indy Gear justice.
Pandora: Congratulations on your purchase! May you have may adventures in that jacket.
Cheers!
