Shirt question...........

I just got a Raider's shirt from Todd's Costumes (Thanks!) and I love it, except for the fact that it would fit a 400lb big fat slob, and so leaves me swimming at a "mere" 200 lbs. Also, it's a little short for my 6'2". My question: are the indy shirts from Wested much the same fit? I see they're sized M,L,XL, etc. If sleeve length doesn't matter (Indy had his rolled up most of the time anyway), then would a medium, say, or a large from Wested be a better option?

I have a Wested in a size large and except for the shoulders being a bit wider than I'd like, the fit is good without any excessive bagginess through the body. To compare body types, I'm 5' 10" and wear a 42 regular suit with a 36" waist. My dress shirt size is 16 X 34.
My only quibble with it is that I consider the shirt tail to be a tad shorter than what I'm accustomed to. It's not enough to cause any problems with keeping it tucked in, but then I also wear my trousers at my natural waist and not hanging off my hips as some younger folks are wont to do, so YMMV.
I will also say that I've washed this shirt four times so far (warm wash and hang dry) with no evidence of shrinkage, button holes coming unravelled or any of the other problems I've read about concerning the WPG shirt.
Overall, I like it, and if I need another one in the future it'll also be a Wested.
Cheers!

And what size did you order? I'm a 44 Tall, 36" waist, thinking about a medium, just to eliminate any extra bagginess.....
And are you happy with the color? Not too dark, as some of the other shirts seem to be? I think the WPG is just a shade or two too dark.....

A large -- as stated in my first reply.
I gave Wested my measurements when I ordered my jacket from them and they recommended the size. I think your best course of action would be to do the same, especially since you will need a long length of some type. While Indy wore his sleeves rolled most of the time, they have to come down sometime. I don't know about you, but I can't stand it when my shirt cuffs are too short. Again, the shirt is just doesn't seem baggy to me. It's more of a traditional dress shirt cut. Oh yes, the armholes and sleeves are cut nicely too. Trim sleeves and high armholes
As for the color, I'm happy with it. It's a very light shade of khaki, sort of an ecru. I haven't seen a WPG shirt in person so I can't do an informed comparison for you, but it should make for an excellent contrast with a pair of taupe trousers.
Cheers!

Don't tell me, let me guess. You're either a horse show judge or a baseball umpire, right?
