Hello all, I’m new here, been reading the posts for a while and finally decided to join. The cool thing about this forum is that a lot of you seem to be lovers of “adventure wear” like myself. In fact I just got a new jacket from J crew that is kind of cool. I post this pic from the catalogue I do not have a picture of myself in it yet since its very hot outside and probably won’t be wearing it till it gets cooler.

I remember shopping at the mall with my wife, she wanted to go into J Crew and I happened to notice the jacket. It was listed for $100. I remember thinking it would come down in price soon and to check back. Well I checked the web site and there it was in the sale section, for $29.99!!!

That's a nice jacket, real classy cut to it, what a price reduction huh! It's packed with pockets, you sure you got stuff to fill em with?

nope, not yet, just gloves and a cell phone, but give me time, Im a creative guy...

I like this style a lot, but it was not practical for me as it is too long. I use similar safari vests, military vests, photographers vests and such. You should take a few pictures wearing that with the fedora. I am sure it would look great.

Unfortunately I do not own a hat yet. All of this is kind of new to me. I’ve always liked safari type clothing and thought I was the only crazy one out there, until I stumbled upon this board. I have been reading the posts for a few weeks, trying to educate myself on the pros and cons of various products. Lately I have been sitting around at night surfing the board and my wife will say, “what you looking at?” I say, “oh, it’s a board were people talk about Indiana Jones clothing and adventure gear”. She said “sounds perfect for you”

I will get the wife to take a picture of me with the jacket so you can see how well it hides my rapidly expanding waist line!

Yup, you've came to the right place Bernard! I also love good outdoor clothing. Infact, the only screen accurate gear I have is my Wested jacket, Adventurebilt hat and Alden boots. The rest of my gear is what I've picked up here or there ovr the years.
