wearing my jacket during a Louisiana summer!

Post by shadwell55 »

As some of you know I just got my new Wested about 3 weeks ago. I am glad to have it but sad that I'll have to wait until october to really wear it. Well, my building is the oldest building on our university campus and the colling system is one where it is on or off--no in between. So when the a/c is on, it can get downright frigid. But the old a/cunit was on the brink subjecting us all to 85 degree inside temps. We had a new uinit installed last week and the building feels like a meat locker. In fact, a colleague of mine down the hall has a temp guage in his office and we were stiing in 59 degrees. This is June in Louisiana and ther high is a consistent 93 degrees with 80-90% humidity.

Soi, I broke out the Wested and have been working at my desk in shorts and my wested, thrilled to have the chance to wear it.

Heh! Sometimes it's like that here in San Diego! I have learned to take a jacket with me everywhere, no matter how hot it might be when I first step out of the house. It's worth carrying it on my shoulder during the day, so I can wear it later that night when it gets cold. Funniest thing, it can get super hot in the daytime, and uber cold at night. Lesson I learned awhile ago. :)

Regards,
