Sorry I haven't been around for a while guys, been busy. Got married in april, bought a house in may, and just found out my wife is now pregnant. so needless to say things are hectic.

Anyways, I have been gathering equipment and am ready to start gauging intrest in a JPdesigns Fedora. I need to get an idea so I can get samples and pricing together. I am shooting to start production and delivery in the early fall.

Band Director Jones, I haven't forgotten about your request.

So, those of you who know my work, please talk it up here so that others may know also.

If you want to be "on the list" please send a PM

Thank you guys for all your support over the years. I would not have been at Peters Bros. as long as I was with you all.

Jimmy

Jimmy,

Good to see you are still around. I keep talking about a trip to Fort Worth. Let me know if you ever make it down I-35 towards Austin or San Antonio.

Hey JP! Glad you're surviving! :D
And a hearty congrats!!!!!

In 2002, my wife and I got married, bought a house and had our first child in the span of 4 months. I know exactly how you feel!

I emailed you with tons of questions when you were at your old job. It's been a while. It's also been a while since I posted here either!

Modern Jones, did you change your name? Your avatar looks familiar but the name doesn't.

Y'all, let me tell you, Jimmy can work wonders with hats. Here's a pick of a Dorfman Indy fur felt he reblocked and reshaped:
Image

HEre's a Cowboy Hat he did up for me when he was at Peters Bros.-notice the tight pinch/Indy style crown (the splotches are my camera, not the felt):

And this one for fun (not mine, but couldn't resist taking a pic of the face hat):

I'm looking forward to seeing your new creation. I know you will do a fantastic job. You've done a great job on my hats and have the Indy bashes down!!
Band Director Jones, I haven't forgotten about your request.
Good! Let me know when you are ready. Do you need my information or do you still have it?

I am going to be working in my shop that was formerly my garage. I am working on oopening a store, but the initial loan application fell through. I am currently rewriting and will be resubmitting the application and business plan as soon as I get it ready. With luch I may still be able to open a store before the first of the year. If not I will shoot for Memorial Day, or maybe the mainsteet arts Festival in Fort Worth, next year. We will see.

Let us know if you're going to be doing that. I have some relatives down that direction, and they usually go. So I don't see it as being a big deal to mosey on down that direction and meet up with you.

I am also interested in your hat. Please put me down on your list.

Holly, that Dorfman is stunning. Ask me, what they ought to do is hire this guy there, and have him shape their hats! That would truly be neat. I also like the tight pinch on the cowboy hat. Nice touch!
