I fiddled around with the Akubra standard bow a bit.
What do you guys think; Better? Worse? No difference?

Definitively better. The original Fed bow look is too tight and hasn't really that nice, fat flying-v shape... Good bow mod there, Sir!

Yeah, it's a lot better. Looks a bit like mine, although mine has the Flying V.

Ribbon and bow are both the standard Akubra ones.
The bow was just removed and altered.
I bet Fedora could sell you a ribbon if you need it, and it's pretty easy to make a bow from it aswell.

Much better now!
Though to really make a flying V you need to redo the stitching on the very bow as well.

Marc;
That's actually what I did, removed it and ironed it flat. Then, added a more personal look to it. I kind of like the non-symmetrical look to it actually. After all, I tend to go for a ToD look in general and that bow doesn't have such an obvious V shape I think.
Thanks for all the comments.

Wow, Swindy, you did an excellent job with that bow. To my eye, it looks just about perfect. Though I am no bow expert. Changing the ribbon really transformed the entire look of that hat.

Thanks a bunch, Hem.
It does indeed a lot for the overall appearance I'd like to think, and it wasn't all that difficult to achieve. More a bit tricky, rather, when redoing those stitches.
I think I'm crosseyed by now...
