He's really working over that bag on the tutorial. Good to see his bag can take the punishment since I have one.

That's a good tutorial. My bag is taking forever to distress naturally!
I would add to use caution when adding bleach to distress products. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the bleach will compromise the strength of the material.

I was wondering if somebody know how this kind of shirts are called? I think there was a thread quit a while ago about this. I guess the name was something like "cuba shirt" or "panama shirt"

I'd call them a safari shirt.

I am not sure if they have a specific name. They seem to be a type of military shirt with the epaulettes on the shoulder.

If you are referring to the Panama or Cuba shirt you might be thinking of the Guayabera shirt. I have a few vintage ones given to me by my dad. I love the styling, colors, and embroidery of the fancier ones!

Yes, this is the tutorial that I posted about that Todd was working on. I won his distressed bag at the Canada summit. It looks very good in person.

I think MK posted a picture of a Cuban, wearing a shirt like Indys, it may burned into my brain as Cuban shirt

I gave Todd's distressing tutorial a shot yesterday for my bag. I wish I had pics to post but I am not done with it yet. I only used a capfull of bleach because I just really can't stand the smell of it. It did lighten the color a bit but I am going to go back and give it a second shot today and see if I can get it lighter in color. Has anyone else tried it??

BTW, I just put my bag in the ground.

I don't think it'll dirty it up much though, since I live where there is no dirt, only sand.

No. I did not use Ajax. I used Comet with bleach. Did you substitute Ajax for Comet or something similar?
Its a very good tutorial for getting the aged look on your bag. I am happy with the results.
