I just finished drawing up plans for a target stand on AutoCad that I am going to construct out of 1 1/2" PVC pipe and fittings. I got the idea from a picture posted in the whip enthusiasts group on yahoo and expanded on it. I called Home Depot and got pricing on the pipe and fittings. That total came to $25.18, excluding tax and the adhesive to glue it together. So you're looking at about $30.00. There are two levels for attaching targets. One at three feet and the other at five feet. I designed it so you can fill the base of the stand with water and/or sand for added stability. The rectangular base is 18 inches wide by 36 inches long. You can build it totally collapsible for taking it with you or glue the whole thing together. I will gladly send a copy of this plan to anyone who has an interest in it. I wanted to show it here, but all I could get was a PDF file and those can't be posted here. I can e-mail the plan directly to you. As soon as I have mine put together, I will post pics. I use AutoCAD also and have the same issues showing images to people who can't view pdf's, try converting the pdf into a gif and it should show up ok- I think/hope.

How do I do that?

I use Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0, I go through a few steps to convert it into a gif as Adobe will not let you save it to that file type. Save it a either a jpg - grainy lines or tif - sharp lines but larger file size though you can edit the sizes pixel, image, etc. even change it to a gif in any editing software. Hope this works for you.

I joined that group shortly after joining this forum. The target stand I got this idea from was built by some guy named Ken, I think. They are probably of the same concept. You can modify it to suit whatever you want to do with it. Make it in pieces that can be torn down and transported or made stationary. I have our IT guru working on converting the PDF file of the drawing into something I could post here.

If you have Photoshop you should be able to just open the pdf in Photoshop and save it as what ever file type you want.
