Got it!

I got my jacket one week ago Wednesday. Great story here. I had been scheduled to leave town on last wednesday for a vacation to Cincinnati (I'm a Reds fan), but was torn because Emma had sent an email giving a target date of the day of departure. And I was bound for the mid-west, which might, I thought, get some cool enough weather to try the jacket. (Louisiana is now in the 90s temps --no jacket weather for awhile).
My mail runs late in the day and I couldn't wait around for it. So I stopped my mail (no need for a jacket to sit on the stoop for a week) and hoped that it might arrive early.
The day of departure comes and we leave in mid-morning. But minutes down the road we realize we forgot an important item. I run in the house, fetch the item, and as I leave the house, up drives the mail truck with my jacket! The carrier said that he had seen the stop on my mail, but the decided to give it a shot and see if I had left yet. He said he thought the package was important, coming from the U.K and all. What an understatement. And let's here it for the much maligned Postal Service.
Well, the jacket. Perfect fit. I can say nothing bad about the jacket other than the D-rings which do slip a bit, but if I remember correctly, one person wrote that as the leather breaks in, the slippage will reduce.
I got this jacket roomy in fit as I plan to use it as a jacket, with sweaters, etc more than a movie-accurate size with a close fit. So when you see pics you will most likley tell me that the shoulder meaurement is too long. I wanted it that way for roominess and to ensire that the sleeves weren't too short. The sleeves are right to the first knuckle on the thumb and the shoulder seams are off the shoulder, giving me room in the upper chest and across the upper back portion of my shoulders.
I cannot believe how light this lambskin is. I had originally purchased the US Wings Goat and thought it was much heavier than described and not as well fit. My wife couldn't believe that that small package was a jacket. I couldn;t be more happy with the quality of this jacket, the fit, and the lightness of the leather. It is exactly what I wanted and I now kick myself for waiting so long to get it. Well done, Wested!
I will take some pic tomorrow afternoon and try to figure how to get them to the board. I don't have a lace to host them, can I post them directly to the message as some do?
Oh, the trip. Cinci was very warm this weekened and the coat stayed on the hanger the entire weekend, but I gazed at it as I came and went. We flew up there and I was not about to check this jacket with my big bag, so I did my best to fold it as Peter's crew did, replaced it in the original Wested bag and put it in my book bag that went every where in the airport with me.
