Change of liners on ABs

Nope, I did not get rid of the Staff of Ra Headpiece, but I just got a new order in of liners and I had them add the plastic cap to the top to protect the crest from stains. So, the new liners have the clear plastic to keep the crest looking sharper, longer. Makes the liner easier to sew in too. as it does not move around as my big hand tries to manipulate that teeny tiny needle. Someone told me recently that I need to get someone to sew the ribbons and liners in. As enticing as that is, I could not then claim that I handmade the hat. Nope, if the hat is not right, there is no one to blame but yours truly. Fedora

I like the fact that you are always trying to improve on what is a already a great and wonderfull fedora. One of the best thing about your hat's that it is hand made by you and only you ( no assembly line ). keep up the good job.

Pfffffft!! Fedora makes a bad hat, like I need to be suspended again!...wait...that didn't sound right!

I don't need to be suspended, and Fedora makes a radical hat...thats right, I said radical, I brought back the ol' school cause these hats are THAT good!

Unfortunately once again, I think I missed the new feature on my hat by like a day...sigh. :D

In the time of companies like Enron and Worldcom its great to see someone who has such good standards of business. :)

Seems like the AB is getting better and better! It almost makes me wish I'd waited a few extra weeks before getting one. Almost. :junior: -IJ

lol, Fedora, is that plastic in the liner visible? How can that help you sew the liner?

Sorry im curious

Yes it's visible, but you can watch right throug it  The top of the liner is covered with a thin plastic layer so your sweat won't ruin the crest. Look at an Akubra liner. Same there.

Without the plastic layer the pure satin is quite floppy and keeps moving around, while you're trying to sew it in (which can be quite a pain in the butt). With the plastic layer it gets more stiff.

Regards,

Marc

So, it'll be like the liner that the Camptown has?

I look at it this way... NOW the one I have is even more a collector's type piece because:

Even Fedora doesn't make 'em like that anymore! ;)

looks like I missed the new feature on my hat by a few days. :? not a big deal though. I can deal with sweat. I love my hat just the way it is. 8)
