Club Obi Wan

Just finished this one, a generic 40's fedora, sent open crown. Med brown ribbon. I think this gray is as good as I have seen for the hat on the plane. This hat pictured is definitely gray, with a brownish undertone. May not show up that way on your monitor, but it does on mine. Yeah, Michaelson, this is a very nice gray, in fact, I have a vintage Cavanagh that is practically identical in color. Other than the Cavanagh, this new felt is the only gray that I have seen that is like this shade. I am looking at the Hj catalog, or a pic of it, and the hat at 3 or 4 oclock seems to be a gray of a very similiar shade. Only trouble is this gray is a special color and I must place an order, and then wait to tag in on a big order so I can get it. I am tagged in, again, and this time I will hopefully be able to afford to buy a couple of dozen to have on hand. I want to be able to get to the point to where I can buy up enough so I never run out, and then have to wait. regards, Steve

Oh, the med brown ribbon brings out the brownish undertone. Wonder what a black one will do to it? Umm, have to wait until I finish this next one to see, since it is getting a black one. Fedora

This belies my contention that the Raiders gray also had a dark brown ribbon. Very nice.

Steve, that's the exact shade of grey I want for my next Adventurebilt! Just wait till I'm employed again and can start saving up hat money! I'm really interested to see what it looks like with a black ribbon, too.
