Don't know if this has been posted before, but here is one I stumbled across.

They put snap down collar studs on it for some reason:

Now that IS interesting, I've never seen this jacket before. It looks pretty accurate, my only beef with it is that the back panel of the jacket appears to be divided in two, but that may just be an optical illusion. And only $235! That jacket is a steal! If I didn't already have a wested I would be seriously considering that jacket. :junior: -IJ

Hmmmm... where have I seen this before? The pictures look exactly like the pics I've seen on another leather website. Are these guys legit? I remember one or two "Indy jacket" sites that plagarized pics and text, nevermind the shady busness they seemed to be running....

Good question Bink. Who was making the jacket that you say these pics resemble? :junior: -IJ

The sleeve appear to be snap or button closure, a pain if you have to shorten them.

Three words: It's a Wested!

It looks to me to be more of a biker jacket. Longer sleeves and buttons all over the place to help gaurd against flapping in the wind. Also, the pull tabs on the side are going the wrong direction. Should'nt they be pointing forward instead of aft?

I've seen this around a lot. It's advertised on at least THREE sites that I know of. I believe it's the same jacket that _ used to have, which I later owned briefly. If it is, it was a great jacket. It was a really heavy, grainy goat. And it was about 90% accurate, maybe a bit more. I've always regreted letting it go. It had NO seam up the back panel or snaps on the cuffs or anywhere else that would make it inaccurate. I wish we could sort this out because, as Bink said, a few outfits offering this jacket are shady. There's another site that shows the entire back of the jacket. I really like the look of it. The yoke is moved forward so the pleats actually extend up onto the shoulder. This is something that's STILL done wrong by Wested, FS and Wings with the pleats ending at the armpit. Ford's pleats were higher. It's the arm and the forward rolling motion of the shoulder that requires the extra "breathing room". If the pleats are level to the armpit an go nowhere near the shoulder, what good are they?

Binkmeister,
They are legit. This site has been around for a long time. I was going to buy a B3 from them last Fall and spoke with them a few times. Most sems imported but some is made by them or at least under contract. I needed a long and they were out of stock but offered to make on up if I had a month or so tho wait. I went with US Wings instead as they had what I wanted in stock.
Not bad for abargain price thouh.

Indeed, it has been mentioned a few times before.

Lao Feng actually visited the factory:

I noticed that while watching Raiders the other day. In one scene you can see where the yoke meets the shoulder seam. It looks like the yoke was higher up than the yoke on modern Wested. :?

Thanks, Tony. Yeah, I know some sites are legit, but I don't keep up with which ones are and which are not. If anyone orders one from these guys, I'd be interested to see pics of the jacket. Also, if this is outsourced, I'd love to see what the inside label says.

That's a "Big Roger"...I went there a couple of years ago. I have tried not to ever have any negative comments about any manufacturer...but guys and gals...you will be disappointed with this jacket's quality. Sorry--Feng

Yeah, if it fades at the bottom it's probably a pleat in the leather.
