After talking to Benjamin Scott, I just made my own nonslip whipholder

what do you think?

I think pimp is the right word 8) Seriously, though nice job. It's a bit ornate for my taste but very well done.

Flat lace does hold the whip better.

Ive also found that brushed cowhide works better

than anything for these holders.

Well, shouldn't there be some fur and/or bling on it to really be pimped? Wait a minute, if you've seen "Pimp My Ride," you should have, like, an I-Pod or something worked into the holder, then you could have the them music from the trilogy shuffled up and playing all the while you're wearing the whip!

All kidding aside, that's a nice looking whip holder.

I thought a little bit about the snake whip that you tried to make, and I think if you're not going to use lead shot in the core you would be better off going with a solid leather core than trying to use plastic or rice for the core because the heavier leather will help balance the whip better.

BTW: who made the whip in the pic? I wanna guess that it's an EC whip by Jim Markell.

Thank's for your comments. Yes, I tooled the leather and, as pagey allready sayed, it's a very nice Stenhouse.

@winrichwhips: The first snake is allready finished. It becamce a light 5ft. whip, it looks quit ok for the first try, but I'm going to make as many as I need to become really good

@molorom: Oh really? Please tell me why? Have you tried to use braided strings, too? Which other leathers did you tried out?

I've the permission by Ben Scott to make and sell holders in his style in "pimped up" version. So if anyone want something like this excample, please PM me.
