I have been following COW for about a year now but this is my first posting. Happy to be on board and am glad this forum is available to learn from and share information.
My gear collecting is still in its infancy but my S&W .44 Hand Ejector recently returned from Jack DaVore with a four inch barrel and ramp front (bapty?) sight. As with COW I'm glad Jack is out there to make the coversions because my local gunsmith wouldn't take on the task.
I made a belt and holster myself with information and advice from the forum; no whip holder yet because I have nothing to put in it. Yet. I'll post pics (I know how you guys like pics) when I figure out how to do it.

Antilles - Welcome to the madness. You've come for the gear, but you'll stay for the people.
If you need any help hosting those pics, feel free to send them to me and I'll put them up as soon as I get them with a thumbnail link to a high rez version.
How did you get hooked on Gear?

Thanks Fisk and I will take you up on your offer to post pics.
As for the gear, I have always wanted a jacket and topper like Indy's. I had no idea that the gear was available however until stumbling onto "Indygear" while doing a search for an authentic jacket. The flood gates opened from there.

I like that FEG. It looks really close to the Hi-Power. I think the style has changed on them, lately. Do you know what year it is?

Not sure of the year Pyroxene. Just picked it up actually. The owner of the gunstore commented that it was of a type he sold in the 80s'. Shoots well and is a relatively inexpensive handgun.
As for the S&W, all I need is an authentic set of grips. The pair that is on now is a reproduction made by Vintage Grips.
I'm a novice at leather making and the holster is my third try. The next one will have an accurate "toe plug".I have made a couple bag straps as well but still need a bag to hang on em'.

Antilles, welcome to Club Obi Wan!
Those are some awesome looking guns you've got there.
The holster and gunbelt look pretty amazing as well.

Have you had a chance to shoot your revolver since you got it back from the gunsmith? If so, how well does it shoot?

Very well. It seems that the accuracy wasn't compromised much with the shorter barrel. Originally it had a five inch barrel with the sight already modified (filed down). Since the gun was not in original condition, I didn't mind making the Indy conversion.
The Davore front sight came back higher than necessary and needed to be filed down to sight in the gun. Once I had the correct height, I applied "cold blue" to the filed areas and it was done. Also, Jack slightly opened up the rear sight and squared it off to compliment the new front sight.
