It seems that Benjamin Scott is retiring from whip making because of some sort of wrist injury.
This is a real bummer because I've seem and used his whips and love them. He made one of the best david morgan replicas i've seen. He also let you customize EVERYTHING about the whip down to the smallest detail. He was truly a "whip artist." However, he is still selling non-slip whip holsters. It kills me to see whip makers retire, especially one's who make awsome replicas of out beloved David Morgan 451 series!!!!!

he stopped making them 2 years ago,
but just recently checked out for sure. It does stink when stuff like this happens. Ive had shoulder problems my self lately, im not suprised so many people drop out for this reason.

Wow!! Those are some nice whips. I'm begining to wonder if DM was the best way to go. I also just looked at Dukes whips and they are real fine too. Some real talent out there.

Wow! Those sound (and look) like some excelent whips. Wish I had found out about them sooner.

I certainly didn't say he was the one and only...I'm new to the COW scene and didn't realize that there were so many whip artists who specialize in replicating Indy whips. Morgan is famous for his whips and he made the original. I also have the added benafit of living close to him so that I could actually see one before I bought it. When I added up all these factors it seemed to be a wise decision. I believe it still is. I also believe that had I bought another brand, I would still want to eventually own a Morgan. This was actually the case because my first real whip was a Strain. He's not the one and only...only the first.

Strain is one of the masters too.
I have 8 whips from him.

I really like Strains whips too. They are so tightly braided...much tighter than a Morgan. I used to own two of them but I ended up selling them. I prefer the look of the Morgan over the Strain...thats why I'm keeping my Morgan. I might consider an 8 footer from Strain, custom raiders, but I really don't need two whips.
