Got a whipartist whip holder! (updated with photos)

I just today received a whip holder from Whipartist!

I have to say this whip holder is everythign I hoped for and more. As you may know I recently purchased a whip holder from Texas Action gear - this is a very good whip holder too, the only flaw being that it would not tighten enough to sufficiently secure my 8ft Joe Strain. The clasp on the TAX holder is legendary though - the perfect technique of ensuring it won't snap open as well as allowing quick release.

I did finally find what I was hoping for with the Whipartist whip holder though - security! By that i mean it is the BESt whip holder I have ever had the pleasure of owning in terms of securing the whip in the holder. By nature of the design it necessarily grips the whip as tight as possible ensuring that there will never be the slightest hint of a gap whatsoever. The design is ingenious.

If I had to fault the whipartist holder it would only be on the leather being slightly thinner than that of the TAG holder so I dont know if that will become an issue over time. However as it currently stands I am exceedingly pleased with it as it means I can jump, get dragged under trucks, jump off waterfalls (all the usual stuff) and know for sure that my whip will take 100% coiled exactly the way I secure it.

Many thanks!

Got it within about a week - it was very generously donated to me for use in the film by whipartist and I shall be eternally grateful. It honestly is the most effective at holding the whip coiled - its like a vice. Due to the design of the holder, you determine how i closes by using the actual whip in the holder and then tightening the holder around it. Its fantastic - beleive me whip slip i something that has bugged me forever but this IS the solution.

I might look into buying one of these. I have Todd's whip holder, but for some reason my whip STILL slips. Thanks for the pic Ken! :D

(BTW - I did a double take when I saw the finger holding up the whip...whew.. )

does the snap opens just into one direction?

that dosent make a diffrence because of the pressure getting put on the back of the snap, that actually helps it stay closed.
