One of my fedoras in the Caribbean.......
I am gonna see if Namebrand can incorporate pictures of the fans wearing hats as they travel to different scenic sites, and to other countries. I am making a hat now for a fan who is going to Egypt. Those would be some great pics too. Here is one of a lucky guy who got to go to the Caribbean for Christmas. http://public.fotki.com/Fedora/hats/hem ... _shot.html
And he is wearing one of the hats that I made. I hope you guys are not getting sick of me and this hat deal. I just had to share. I feel a special attachement to these hats, and it makes me proud to see them on folk's heads. A part of me may even be on some of these, as I bled from needle pricks. In a sense, I will be a world traveler!! Fedora

Steve, I don't think I could ever get sick of you talking about hats. If anything, it keeps you in touch with the concerns and opinions of your customers. Besides, I think it's be great to see pictures on your website which show how well travelled your hats are. I mean, they're called Adventurebilt hats, so the images would only give credence to the name! I'm taking mine to Cancun in February and I'll be sure to try and get good pics of me wearing it next to old ruins.

All this hat talk just makes me want my Adventurebilt hat more!
I was planning a Jeep trip to the wilds of Death Valley but was turned back by a snowstorm. I didn't turn back by choice but the highway patrol closed the highway to Reno so there was no choice. I was all geared up for a real adventure.......but. The fact is that my Adventurebilt hat was not done yet so I guess the gear was indeed incomplete. The Death Valley trip has been postponed to possibly February so it looks like I might have a picture for you too!
Looking forward to seeing that package on my porch.

I'm going to Cancun in February too! Also going to those Mayan ruins! When are you going? I'll be there from the 2nd to the 7th. Maybe we could meet up one day and exchange a handshake or a joke or two.binkmeisterRick wrote:I'm taking mine to Cancun in February and I'll be sure to try and get good pics of me wearing it next to old ruins.

Fedora,
I've always thought pictures of folks wearing your hats would be a great addition to your site. As you stated, no one else would have that kind of publicity, but also, it would show what good relations you have with your customers, thusly making other people who may not know you even more interested in buying. If someone knows their hatter personally cares about their hat, and goes to great lengths for it to look the way the buyer wants, they will tell their friends, and so on. Great word of mouth potential right there.
I know of several cool looking locations I can go to, so when I get my hat from you, I'll definetly go there and shoot some photos! Of course, I'd be glad to send some to you for use on your site if you like
Regards,
Strider

NO WAY!!! I'll be there from the 5th through the 12th! Where are you staying? I'll be at the Royal Sands (I think that's it). If we could meet up one day, that would be tremendously cool!IndyMcFly wrote:I'm going to Cancun in February too! Also going to those Mayan ruins! When are you going? VP is the epitome of pithy in his posts. I salute him for that!
And to extend this tangent further, all the hotels in Cancun are in the "Hotel Zone" and very close. They are all serviced by a shuttle that goes up and down the strip. If you were both heading to Chichinitza on the same day and took the same tour, the bus would pick each of you up in your respective lobbies.
Cancun is a beautiful place and Chichinitza is wonderful. You will both have a wonderful time. (Just stay away during Spring Break. ) Also, watch the heat in the jungle. If either of you is able to wear full Gear, you deserve some kind of metal.
Of course, don't forget you Adventurebilt! It will shield you well from the elements and stand out in the see of straw sombreros.

Thanks for the map, VP! Hey, Shane, it looks like we're pretty much at opposite ends of the hotel zone, but we're still pretty close! I ddon't know when you're heading to Chichinitza, but if we ended up on the same tour, that would be fantastic! At any rate, I don't see why we couldn't meet up for a hello!
And Hemingway, of COURSE I'll be taking my Adventurbilt!
