Go to the bottom for my review and pic's
Like it says I ordered one, well actully they're calling to see if he can get it for me on Monaday. Seems this place in Portsmouth NH has there pants and can order the shirts as well. It's a vintage poplin, color: stone.

Heres the link:http://www.billskhakis.com/shop/shirts_khaki_shirt.html

Who out there has this shirt and what are your fellings about it, I've done some research into the archives but I'm curious to start a new thread on this shirt.
The price on the site is for $97.50 plus S+H, the price at this store is $78.00 and no shipping.

Let me know your thoughts and thanks, Croft

A hunnerd bucks for a close-enough shirt seems oh so very steep. I've gotten a bunch just like that for under $5.00 at second hand stores like Salvation Army and Value Village.

If it had the pleats running from shoulder to waist and featured epaulets as well, then $100 might not seem -quite- so unreasonable.

That's my opinion, but I'm the thrifty sort.

For that price you might as well order an actual Indy shirt from Wested.

Oh don't get me wrong I have the Wested shirt, I only wear it occasionaly as it's not a shirt you can just go into a store and buy. The price with shipping right now is about 103.65. I know the price is close, but I also like wearing shirts that have this look to them but don't scream out Indiana Jones, but rather just scream out Adventurer.

I was also looking at a site that had a (orvis), look around they have some w/the shoulder tab, the shirt I was wondering if any one has is the
British India Officer’s Shirt, looks to be a shirt for non-summer use, but heck if the British used it in India maybe it's not so bad??? Any one have this one??
Heres the link, http://www.orvis.com/store/product_choi ... 3&shop_id=

Now don't get me wrong, it's not an isue of price but appearance only, now that I've been typing away madly here I 've been think that maybe an email to Peter to get a price confirmation and lead time, goin on a Carrabean cruise end of Jan so Indiana Croft is a goin on a adventure, yea haw.

I remember bring up the Bills Khakis a while back also. I had e-mailed to see if there was anyway they'd offer a more Raiders like pant, no such luck. Lindiana

In style yes it is the same shirt BUT one has a polester/cotton blend making it a little hot to wear in the summer, now a 100% cotton shirt is way more comfy.

I'll probably pick up one of the Cabelas short sleeve shirts for my up coming trip to the Caribbeans. well see. Right now I have a LL Bean shirt coming in the color dusty olive. I'll no tommorrow if the store in Portsmouth can get the shirt, if yes I'll be ordering it and I'll post a review when I get it along with a pic or two.

Well I just got back from the store in Portsmouth NH and tried it on.
First let me say that even though it doesn't have the epleauts like Indys and it doesn't of course have the pleat up the front like Indys.

But this is one nice shirt, fit was perfect and it felt so comfortable against my skin, so soft. Those of you who have purchased the Wested shirt (yes I own one as well) well you know when you first put it on, it had that crisp clean feel to it almost like sliding between fresh sheets. Well Bills Khakis doesn't feel that way when I put it on, more like it felt like those same sheets were warmed up first, it just felt so comfortable. And it should as its not an inexspensive shirt. If your going to buy one try first to find some one in your area who has them or can order, on there site is a store locator. I got lucky and was able to get one close to me.

This is an description from the tag.
This product has been put through professional washed where enzymes and abrasives have brought about its soft, broken-in state. Lightly worn or faded areas are inherent to this process.

Color: Wow all I can say and you will to and thats the color (stone) is spot on, all most the same as Wested, when I put them side by side the color is only a shade different, I took one pic with Bills/Wested and LL Bean. another shot of just Bills and Wested and last a close up of the pocket pleat. ( I may try to contact them to see if I can get some material to make those epleauts).
Here are some pic's.

Hope the review was helpful to those who have been thinking of getting one, I'm not soory I did.

Bill's products are great....but follow the washing directions to the letter! They shrink, and shink bad if you don't! I'm speaking from personal experience. U.S. Wings shirts do the same thing. Regards. Michaelson

Yes, I have, and though a bit warm (only a good poplin shirt is good in humidity, in my opinion), it's wearable and tough as nails! Regards. Michaelson
