Club Obi Wan

I work fairly close to a Lammle's Western Wear & Tack Shop. This outfit carries a very cheap swivel handle, Mexican made, 8 plait bullwhip in 8 foot and 6 foot lengths. The 8 footer is around $25.00 and the 6 is less (can't remember how much less). The handle is wooden.

These are great starter whips and you can't beat the price. I have one myself. It's a bit on the light side, but is easy to crack.

I was talking with an Ottawa Gearhead earlier who said he might be interested. Anyway, if anyone wants one, I could pick one up for ya and mail it out at cost plus postage.

Those inexpensive whips are pretty easy to find. I got one at a country fair and ebay abounds with them. While a far cry from a well made whip they do serve as an introduction before spending big $$ on a well made whip from one of the fine craftsmen on this list.

It won't handle as well, look as good or crack like a good whip at least it saves you plenty of money while you decide if whips are your thing.

I agree absolutely!

One thing about these cheap swivel handles is at least they're brand new and you'd be the first owner of it, not like those old auction-website ones. The first whip I got was a 25+ year old, dried up thing from that auction-site.
