Texas Jones Bag Strap Question

I recently purchased the bag strap from Texas Jones, and man is it nice! The leather is a bit stiff at first, but is easily broken in and the color is.........errrrrrr.......was dead on. I made the mistake of spraying some cologne on my shirt while it was on and the only thing I can figure is that the alcohol content got to the strap because it melted the brown color right off and left the lighter brown exposed underneath. Texas, or anyone out there, just wondering if you guys know how I could patch it up or at least make it look like it was faded to that color.

Cheers,

Steven

Shoot it back to me, Steve, and I'll be happy to fix it. Water won't affect the strap, but the alcohol in the cologne might. It won't take out the brown stain, but the overlying antiqueing might be affected. You can try a coat of kiwi brown scuff cover if you don't want to bother with the post office. PM me if you want to send it back, and we'll work something out.

Regards,
TJ

And THAT'S an example of how folks earn the 'vendor' status at this forum! It's not assigned lightly.
I tip my fedora to you, Texas! You are a true 'customer service' oriented individual, and I'm proud to know you!! High regards. Michaelson

Much appreciated, Michaelson. How's your strap holding up?

By the way, as I am enjoying my new status as vendor, I hope you are liking yours!

Thanks so much Texas! I own a Keppler strap as well, and I have to admit, I really prefer yours (Nothing against Lee's). I'll try the Kiwi; it isn't so bad that it would merit the time to send it and have to go through the hassle, but I genuinely appreciate the offer! I tried to post a comment on your website, but had difficulties, however to anyone reading this I would most certainly recommend your work.

Cheers,

Steven

I have to chime in here as well. Texas' customer service is matched only by the quality of his product. :D
