Hola,

Does anybody like my Alden's? This shot was taken whilst on a weekend break to San Pedro in the Atacama desert.

I feel that the boots are starting finally to look a little bit more lived in.

Hi,

In answer to your questions,

- If you don't have a pair of these boots, you should really try and get some, they are comfortable and super durable.
- The distressing and color is natural, when they were delivered I noticed the color was way off, a type of red/brown. I think that living out in the desert here the color has gone, and well, never cleaned them once, obviously Dr Jones did not tell Jones to clean his shoes, like he said in the last film.

- I have a brand new wested lamb jacket, I hope to age this the same way.

Interesting how the sides of your shoes are touching. I wonder if something has changed in the world of Aldens. Any info?

Yes, the sides are touching and that is the reason I ask when you got them. I got mine last year and they will NOT come togehter like that nomatter how tight I tie them. I am wondering that since this is something that was addressed to Aldens if they have corrected this 'problem'. So, when did you get them?

Mine arrived the end of June and the sides do come together when I tie them kind of tight, but even then they're not uncomfortable. I thought this was because the shoes Fritz ordered for me were EE's.

I think everyone who buys Aldens are in for a painful break-in period, but even after everyday wear for several months the sides still don't come together like that. Perhaps they fixed the problem brought to their attention several months ago. Are you sure you didn't order them too big? Just be careful. If you did you may be in for some sore feet as some COW members in the past have pointed out from experience. We were informed that it is very possible to do serious damage to your feet if thy are not sized properly and get constant wear. Just a thought.
