Really got my goat...now with a pic.

Post by namebrand »

Yeah I know, lame joke for the title, but I couldn't think of anything better. Thanks to everyone here I was able to sort out what I needed/wanted for my Wested purchase and got it ordered...and guess what I had in my hands as of yesterday? Yep, a Wested Raiders in authentic goat.

I'd seen the photos, and I had heard all the great things, but neither really fully prepare you for actually holding, smelling and wearing a Wested. The craftsmanship is amazing, and the jacket itself stands on it's own in the area of beauty. I wore it last night even though it was quite cold out. I just had to. I love the smell of it, brand new leather; and the goat is so soft, I couldn't believe it. Thanks everyone for suggesting goat.

I don't have any photos yet, but I hope to have some soon. I am now officially a gear head I suppose. :)

Edit: Now with a picture...crappy digital camera.

Don't worry, a few hours in the the dryer on 'no heat' will take care of that :P

I really can't wait to get mine back with proper sleeve length! I had my jacket hanging in my office for a few days before I sent it back, and now I miss the smell - and trying it on - short sleeves and all! Wear yours in good health and think of us less fortunates...........

Hey Namebrand :D : Don't worry about the awful play on words (I love that kind of stuff  ), I've already thought that when I get mine it will be simply....

Das Goat!

At my current rate of saving Peter's "grandkids" will be running Wested by the time I've got the cash but.....hmmm... then there's alway selling a kidney

C'mon Namebrand you know the rules, no posts of new gear without pics! Just wait Namebrand, I've had my goat for a few weeks and it's really conforming to my body now. Yours will get even better! Wear it in good health my friend!

Kilgour you could always sell one of Bink's kidneys! He doesn't really need two anyways!

Yes but he's already sold his first and I think he's leasing the remaining one to Jess in an effort to help him detox....

Great Idea!!

Hey Jack :D : Great Idea!!...Only problem is that with all the mileage on those Binks kidneys I might only be able to get a pair of Wested Pants!  The other problem is that Jess's lease option has a buy out.....I'll have to look anyway...

Just a minute...Just need to hack into the US National Health record service...Bink, Bink, Bink....I don't see anyone named "Binkmeister?". Ah..I'll have to try Michaelson....Hmmm, whats this about Jack Daniels, What! no liver "Or" Kidney's  ???

Ah well...I'll just have to do it the hard way

Warm Internal regards

Anything to help a friend. In fact, they're not my kidneys at all, Kilgour, they're YOURS! Remember that night you passed out after that drink I gave you, and then you woke up in a bathtub full of ice? Don't worry, I replaced it with one of Jess' used kidneys. (Besides, you'd be lucky to get laces for your Aldens with my kidneys!)

Now, Namebrand, you just have to post pics of your new jacket or we just might have to go for your kidneys.
