found a "new" strap buckle today

Post by Trevelyan »

Today, as I was opening my package from Tapco with my rifle straps, I found a pleasant surprise. I totally forgot that I had ordered a $4 Danish haversack along with the order, and I remembered one of the reasons. Besides looking like a nice bag, it appeared to have 1 inch buckles on it.

So, after playing around with the slings for a while, I cut off a buckle and put it on my homemade strap. Even though it's brass and not quite screen accurate, I think it looks good. It would probably look better on a thinner strap as well. Anyway, I like it, and the price was definitely right too since it didn't cost a thing.

I like it, it looks vintage, it is almost more fitting for the MK VII....
