if I can get my hands on a small enough bag, I'll send it to you if you can't find it in your Country.

I've never heard of using Fullers Earth on Jackets, but on Fedoras for that mid-Raiders look. Try it and let us know how it looks... and post plenty of pics so I can post them on my wall here at work!

I'm of the camp that the best way to distress a jacket is to wear it everyday and go everywhere with it. Some don't have the patience that I do, but to each his own. I ruined one jacket by not doing it right, and I'm in no hurry. YOu can say I lost my nerve.

I have used Fuller's Earth on the goatskin in this picture:

It gives the jacket the worn look - especially around the seams. Sorry I don't have a good "before" picture...

If you do not like the way it looks, it does come off. Also comes off in the rain, so you won't ruin it if that's what you are thinking. It is one of the few reversible distressing techniques!

For a distressed look, Fullers Earth is awesome. I have put FE on my fedora, jacket, and Aldens. Its a great product.

Hello All!

So, "Fuller's Earth" is safe and effective even on my New Finish Cowhide? If so, will it come off (say if the jacket gets wet and then you must re-apply the Fuller's Earth??)

And lastly, where might I be able to purchase some of this Fuller's Earth?

Thank you for your time!

I beleive F.E. is safe for any jacket...its inert - um, dust. And the nice thing about it is, it comes off rather easily if you want it to, and a little bit goes a long way.

MK has a link the info on his site...http://www.regular-guy.com
and here's a place you can order it online:
