I told myself that one purchase one would be enough but I guess I was wrong

Length wise, I'd stick to my current length which is leaning more on the shorter side, just a few inches below my belt line. With my short height, adding a few more inches would make me look shorter sadly.

The goat is VERY tough. Not even a single scratch on it even with the outdoor activities I do under the heat haha. I wouldn't want to artificially age it though, one of the reasons why I want another jacket in shrunken lambskin which can actually distress faster naturally.

When you got your Hero version, did you order the same length as your standard ( back length and sleeve length ) or did you get it a few inches shorter since it falls back longer than the standard sizes?

When I ordered mine, I actually just emailed the folks at Wested and asked their opinion about length. I think they said just go with the regular length and I think I did that. It came a little longer, just a little bit, than I had expected, but it's okay. My advice would be to just write them and get their input. Having a tight-fitting/slim-fitting jacket that is a bit longer might actually make you look longer in the torso, possibly not such a bad thing if you are short and stocky. Mine makes me look slimmer when it's zipped up. I'm chubby and barrel-chested, so, that's quite an optical illusion. I wrote a bit about distressing my goat in the distresing section, if you're interested in reading about what the goat can look like.

Settled for the wested hero in shrunken lamb!

Ordered the hero 2 inches shorter so it can reach my normal length. It hits exactly below the belt and the backlength is an inch or two higher from my rear pockets compared to my first standard goatskin though. I’m alright with it since it looks snugger and sits within the waist area like in the Raiders film. There were shots of Ford where his jacket shows his belt at times whenever he moves around. Reminds me of the old school leather jackets. What do you guys think?

The shrunken lamb is really really light. Felt weird at first coming from a goat skin user. Felt paper ish. But it looks amazing. Very light, really makes the goatskin look much heavier. It distresses easier though since it’s a light skin as well. Can easily get scuff marks if it’s gets scratched. Adds character though!

Looks great! Looks a bit short for my taste (I prefer my jackets about an inch longer), but that doesn't make it wrong or not screen accurate. I love the look of that leather. Shrunken lamb is some good stuff.

Yeah, it's slightly shorter than my first goatskin jacket by an inch. Does it look awkward?

Was surprised at first but then I felt okay with it since it makes me look a tad taller. Some of my jackets tend to make me shorter due to the length. I'm around 5'3 or 5'4 haha. The jacket falls at my waist line. Will post photos of the jacket under sunlight!

That's what matters. If you think you can rock it, you can. And, as you pointed out, it kinda looks like an older leather jacket now.

Hey LostRaider25, looks great! It’s always a little deceiving as jeans tend to ride a bit lower anyway. I like the length and think it looks great on you.

If I were to change anything, I’d narrow the shoulder width a bit to get a little less shoulder droop, but I have a jacket that’s very similar in “droop” that is incredibly comfortable, so I don’t care

I think you’ve got a keeper.

I agree with the jeans part. I noticed some jeans have rear pockets that are positioned lower or higher than others which can affect how a jacket's length looks.

The shoulder width does give a droop effect. I actually contacted wested if I can have a 6 inch for the shoulders (my normal shoulder length). They said the least the can do is a 7 inch since it's the hero version. If I were to get my normal width, they told me that it would be better if I just got another standard custom raiders instead. Since I already have a standard, I opted for the Hero version. I didn't mind the droop effect much since it's quite comfortable.

Another thing as well, I noticed that reaching for the handwarmer pockets in the hero version are quite harder (me putting my hands inside the handwarmer pockets) compared to the standard one.

I thought at first that maybe it's because my hero version is slightly shorter but when I tried to raise the length of my standard version, it's still easy for me to fit my hands in the pockets.

Do you guys have this experience as well?
