Paging all you A2 jacket experts. Tell me the advantages/ disadvantages of a collar stand. I've noted some A2 models have them (Bronco,Rough Wear), some don't (Dubow, Poughkeepsie, etc.).

Slight correction: Bronco does not have a collar stand.

Personally, I do not like collar stands. They cause the collar to sit higher up, which I find less comfortable. They also tend to spread out more; I think this is why some refer to the RW collar as a "clown" collar. It can look pretty big.

Shots of the jacket being worn taken this afternoon.... the fit is perfect. Again, John Chapman is an A-2 genius.

No shame. My go-to jacket during bad weather is my 1967 Avirex G1.
It's a great hobby an all, but they're just jackets. I think that it's great if somebody is really into fine detail and quality. But I hate it when guys look down their nose at other people. One should never feel bad for liking what they've got. Besides, a jacket can't love you. :anxious:

:rolling:

Great jacket by the way

Very fine jacket! Almost bought a Mahogany HH G&B Exp. several months ago.
