Thanks Michael! :TOH:
You´re so right, it was a lot harder than I thought. Beside the movie stills, the pictures of the Smithsonian jacket I´ve also used your pictures of your great looking jacket as a reference for the distressing.

Very good point KT!
I think it would help if Wested used one pattern for LC and one for CS, each one using the most requested features. That alone would help a lot, instead of having just one for both.
As for the fit of the diary, the specs of my pockets are 7.5" high and 7" wide, so the Grail Diary could fit in just nicely and SA (using the dimensions stated here on the board, 16cmx10cm).

On a side note, and it doesn't relate to your specs... an unfortunate thing about many fan specs is that they so cyclical, one season a particular aspect is is in fashion next season it is another. Everyone sees things differently. Tremelo has decided on the smaller squarer pockets, higher up on the body and you can see that they look fantastic.

BUT.

The next person may want to put their hands in the handwarmers and DISASTER, they don't fit! Cue much consternation.

The third person decides that the jacket MUST be able to hold a grail diary in the pocket.... which I guarantee you will mean a taller pocket.

I am convinced that the close up shot of the diary in the pocket in LC had one of 2 things:

1) A deeper pocket designed for that shot (note you never see the bottom of the pocket with the diary in place).

2) The inside of the pocket has been cut away so the diary can go inside the body of the jacket so it can sit low in the pocket.

Anyway, this has the most often requested features and I think they should be made standard on Wested's LC pattern. Squarer pockets with a deep flap, higher up on the body and no hem stitch on the bottom of the jacket.

This jacket delivers the LC vibe in spades. Well done Wested!
KT, you make very excellent points.

I think Wested should offer an all around Indy jacket that is functional, and would be available to all customers who simply want a great jacket that looks like Indy's.

I do think, however, that if Wested is going purport to offer jacket replicas from each specific film, then those jackets should include all the obvious details from those films. For instance, Peter's Temple of Doom jacket is an exact replica of that jacket, awkwardly small pockets and all. Peter has indicated that he won't change anything about that jacket since fans should know they are getting a costume replica.

So in short, Wested could offer their Standard jacket at the same low price, and then perhaps a premium-priced line of film replica jackets, one from each film, such as the current Temple pattern.

As the situation stands now, some fans get very lucky and get the jacket they ordered, with say specific pocket measurements like Tremolo, and other fans get burned when those requests are ignored.

I just wish Wested would put its foot down and stop accepting custom jobs (not talking about made-to-measure) or commit to taking custom work consistently and update their film-specific patterns.

No one can really complain about Wings or G&B because they don't do custom work. Period.

I'm really liking this jacket/hat combination... I think the colors compliment each other well. What kind of hat is that?

Thanks! It´s the AB Henry I got last Christmas. You can see some more of it here:

And here with my soft waxy cowhide Raiders jacket:

To my eye the colour of the Henry goes very well with different shades of brown, my Christy´s and Akubra have some problems with lighter brown jackets ;)
And I love the shape of it.
