I agree. Todd's hem is the same height all the way around the leg. I have read that the hem should be one inch shorter in the front to be a correct military hem.

I thought they did, the seam is or should be hidden, although the taylor who altered the inseam did a great job, but ya can still see it. :|

So what exactly is a military hem and how do you acheive it, or should I start another thread asking this. :-k

Croft my friend, the military hem is a pain in the butt.

The way I understand it, which I guess is how Noel Howard did it, is to mark the pants at the right height, one inch longer in the back. It's an angle. Then, you cut off the remaining fabric, and turn the fabric you cut off around 180 degrees, and sew together. Then you pull that up inside the pant leg and finish with a blind hem. Yo can do the work yourself, but a good tailor can do the hem. The hard part there us getting them to understand you want a four inch hem.

Did that help? I know there's at least one tutorial on here somewhere with photos and drawings.

Thanks guys, I talked with a woman tonight at Mens ware house, and she said that they do them all the time for miltay personel. So even though mines done I might ask to see if they can re-do, fingers crossed [-o< , I'll let ya know the out come.
