Yeah, me too!! When you gonna get some goat? I have a great roasted goat recipe if the reason is because you don't know what to do with the goat after you scare its hide off 'em.

I know Peter is busy and all but I still think Peter should have come out and shown the pictures himself instead of having members do it.

I also could show you the pictures of the new jacket many, many months back, but I didnt. I think its up to the maker of the jacket to do so...

its just my opinion, take it for what its worth.

Has this jacket been ready to go for some time now? :-k Holt's saying months ago he could have had pictures, but didn't to respect the vendor (which makes complete sense) This should be on their site I would think by now, or even some time ago, but it still is not. I hope its as good as everyone thinks its going to be. The funny thing is, is that it is a "new" jacket offering, which you would think should just replace the Rola jacket, since most people now will order the new "hero" jacket from Wested instead.

Maybe I'm just not thinking clearly anymore because of too many diet drinks. If, and I say IF, the above is true then isn't this the copy of the jacket that many (including Peter) questioned its authenticity and outright denounced the leather choice. But now Wested is going to copy this jacket and even offer a shrunken lamb version? Does anyone else find this slightly odd? :-k

And thanks for posting Todd! I own a TN I and one of your customs so I feel I can comment with some authority. While there are some similarities, they are NOT the same jacket.

Hatch, you'll remember he thought the TN leather looked like a embossed leather at first and then changed his mind. Better pictures and then having a sample in hand caused the change in opinion.

In a similar way to Todd's, the Hero will probably incorporate some details (like collar shape) but also omits others... such as the holes in the handwarmers.

btw...i'm thinking as clearly as you are. why hasn't anyone mentioned the price? i bet it's not the same as their standard custom offerings......anyone, anyone....beuller???

Ok so now I feel bad. Holt has a point. I guess though it's too late to close the stable door. So unless others feel it is wrong to post pictures before Peter i wont. If you do ill keep the pictures and post them immediately after Peter. I don't want to cause offence / trouble. Sorry.

Raider, I wouldn't feel bad if I were you. This jacket has been rumored for some time and its unveiling as well as, I'm afraid, the debate it will raise is inevitable. I just hope that everyone (and I put myself at the forefront here) keeps it civil.

Raider, I'm curious to know how you had ordered the jacket? Perhaps a call in to Wested, and just questioning the availability of it made it known to be available? At this point, I think that not posting the pics wouldn't go over too well, because who knows when Peter will announce/reveal it, and especially now that it is known of the jacket, many others will put in the order for it. So your pictures, Peter's or someone elses will eventually be posted. But yours would be nice to see ;)

In certain circles that's all it would take to get some people to buy it blindly. I'm not kidding either.

Why feel bad? If the jacket is now being sold, which it obviously is as you bought one, it can't be a 'secret' and you should be able to wear it in public and post photos of it.

Wow, thats one nice collar! Looks great! The LC label too is really cool. Nice jacket, looks a little updated from Westeds previous jackets. How is the storm flap lenght? Does it match back length? Again like stated, Peter probably tweaks his patterns to make them better, not completely change it. I do think though the jacket is a little long for a Raiders jacket on you.

Well it came with brass zip, as it should have had otiginaly. However I probably would have asked for it.

I had intended a SA fit, the back was measured down to the pocket flap on the back of my trousers, the front then turned out longer than I'd expected, mainly due to the collar I think.
I'm 5ft 10 but have a long torso. The jacket is a 46.

The body looks a little too long to be SA but the most important thing is are you happy with it? That is the main thing on any jacket. I like a longer jacket myself so I'm not too SA on that front. It's hard to make out any of the other details right off though.

They are on the first post

As for the jacket, this looks just like a regular Indy jacket. Maybe some minor spec changes and the label is different but I was really looking foreword to a new wested hide, something like Tony's. Dont get me wrong and I dont wanna sound mean or anything but this is really no big news to me unless Peter plans to offer a hide like Tonys. I dont plan to buy another Wested on account of the label. But to each his own! ;)

It doesn't look like any regular from Wested with just minor spec changes. Maybe the hide makes it appear that way to you?

I must say, when seeing the jacket worn it looks almost exactly like an class of 99 wested with better shaped pockets. at least from that distance.

But I think the jacket is to long for you. but thats just my opinion, I like short jackets. if you like it then why care what everybody feels about the length or the fit.

congrats!
