That was my old Bernardo Del Carpio 10ft. I had to sell it, but am VERY happy to have been able to place a new order. Probably get the new one in August sometime.

We've made it a family thing. The kids are naturals!

This is the best I can do at this time ( I'll have to hit my friends up for some good still shots someday ). These are screengrabs from my buddy's new short film. They're a bit blurry, but you can just make out the whip in them - well, maybe not the last one, but it's there! ( and yes, I'm making the standard frown/constipation face in the last pic! )






If you get time, check out Burke Vader's new comedy short, "Indy vs. Vader" in the editing room. He had to twist my arm a bit to do it, but it turned out to be a lot of fun.

So... as mentioned at http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=44603 I took my whips to Calgary for the holidays, and took advantage of the dry, smooth snow on the street in front of my parents' house to do some cracking every day.

On the last day I was there a photographer from the Calgary Herald drove past looking for winter stories (skating on ponds, cross-country skiing in parks, etc). She stopped and took some pictures of me, which ran in the paper the next day:

I won't deny that I've worked hard on the whip-cracking, as well as the "whip-cracking face". It does take effort to achieve relaxation. I recently got together with a COW member who lives near me to crack whips and he told me, "You make it look so effortless."

"Well," I said, "A lot of effort goes into effortless."

To prove it, here is a picture of me from just a few days before the release of Crystal Skull



Since then, I even lost over 20 pounds as a result of diet and exercise, all thanks to wanting to look less like a dope when I dress as Indy.
