Boy, I don't know about this one.......I bought my Rabbit AB from Steve and just had him style it after the first scene from Raiders where Indy's by the waterfall. I have since distressed the hat myself and tweaked the style as it's aged. That's been half the fun of owning it. Now my hat isn't turned but I think that's the only thing right now keeping it from looking like the SOC hat.....

I guess I'm for just buying the hats brand new and distressing them yourself. I just feel buying stuff pre-distressed takes the fun out of messing it up yourself.

So, wouldn't all anyone would really have to do is order a Penman Raiders rabbit, turn it and then distress it themselves to get the SOC look? :-k

Whatever you end up doing Oak I can't wait to see it. Man, I want to order a new Indy Rabbit hat SOOOO bad and turn it......I just don't have the cash yet. :(

I was never one for distressing any hat or any gear myself but I try and make everyone happy so I decided to give it a try and see how it comes out. I really want to work on some of the small details. Ounce the prototype is done ( and I have no idea when that will be) then I can try and find a way of making it a special offering without the big risk on either part. The biggest trick is distressing the hat ( or making it look distressed) When it's not.

I've never been one for artificial distressing either. I guess I come from the Michaelson School of Natural Distressing. You can call it MSND for short. In fact, I don't even like my hats to look dirty and roughed up. I like them to look lived in, but not dirty, if that makes sense. I brush my hats about once every two weeks and keep them looking nice and clean, though I beat the helloutta most of them. I guess this Penman SoC hat offers us the chance to have THE Raiders hat. I'm going to be honest, I'll probably only wear it when in full gear, which really only happens on Holloween and in conventions, but it will still be there. I may use it for yard work. But this hat, to me, is the reason why I got into this hobby in the first place. I can't pass that up.
