Ok, but, about the sizing issue, Todd, I know you are super busy with all the Indy and non Indy items on your site, Im just wondering if they run true to size, or if that sizing problem is still there. I really dont know if a 13 will fit me, and I really dont want to send them back if I order a pair and they dont fit.

Dang it Todd, your too fast! I just saw the thread and was coming back to say whoops nevermind, I got my answer lol. Now it just comes down to whether or not I want to take the risk...planning on ordering one of your spiffy new shirts from you very soon.

I ordered another pair and went for 11's. Based on Todd's post these are running large and if the mislabeled first ones fit (I got 12's and Todd said they were actually 10's) I'm hoping these will be better. In my mind too big is almost as bad as too small when it comes to boots. Mostly I need the width of a 12 and the length of an 11, if that makes sense.
Also like the fact Todd says the new ones have more leather. If so, these are a great deal.
Am tempted by the new tall size shirts but seeing as I bought a buch of WPG's I'll have to wait to hear more about these. Not only do they seem longer, but the xlarge says it has a 56" chest! That would be more like an xxl. So I was a bit confused by that.

Strange, that after I broke my boots in they fit perfectly, I had no sizing issues.

Usually as a rule most clothing fits better when broken in!

I'm chomping at the bit to get mine. IF anyone who's just ordered a pair gets theirs here pretty soon make sure to post some pics. I'm really curious about the newer color.

Placing my order now, it will be interesting to see how these compare to my Aldens. If they're just as good then it will save me $250+ that I was going to pay for another pair.

I too am eagerly waiting for the mail truck to come. I wish it was like in the Wile E Coyote cartoons where you mail something and instantly a truck shows up.

Does Todd still send out notices of when the stuff you order is being shipped out? I can't remember....

I'd like to see a review from someone who also has a pair of Aldens to compare them to.

Pretty soon there might be no mail at all on Saturday. So those DVD's of Kung Fu will have to wait.

Can somebody tell me if Todd's boots can be shipped from Europe? I mean, does Todd have facilities outside USA? It would be great for me, I would save much money on shipping and taxes (bloody taxes, argh
)

Well, that's not the case with me. I've had the same e-mail address for years.

Hey all, I'm new to the community, but have been following for awhile. Ordered mine on Thursday, and they will be here Tuesday. I'll post some pics of the new boots. PS: Glad to be a part of such a great community! Can't wait to get more involved!

My boots just arrived moments ago!
The color in these pictures is pretty close...
First impressions: They apperar to be well made, sturdy boots. I was a tad worried about the metal hook lace points, if not good metal these could, with use or as a result of hooking on an obstacle ... break, however, so far, they look sturdy. My first impression is a very good one. Almost too good to be true. Time and use will tell.
As for size ... I ordered the 13. They are a little big. That is OK by me as I must wear prosthetics in my boots (old war wound) and after I push all my equipment into the boot there is still room for my huge honk'n foot!
All and all I love em right now. I will be putting these boots through their paces in the next several weeks, we'll see how they hold up.

If anybody who had a pair from the 1st batch orders a pair from the new batch, please post a comparison of the 1st and 2nd batches: color, and particularly the leather.
Thanks,
Bogart

They look comfortable already! They are difinitely on my list of things to buy! Are you going to waterproof them in some way?
Congrats on way nice boots.

I hate to judge by a photo, but these seem like a heavier duty boot than the fist batch. Maybe a bit more of brownish color as well. Very nice and I can't wait till mine get here.

Congrats on way nice boots.
Interesting you should ask. As I type we are experiencing severe weather here in Oklahoma. we've already had three tornadoes, considerable damage, but thus far no major injuries. And it ain't over yet! I was just outside on a mission and I noticed the boots absorbed water around the stitching. So yes, I'm gonna waterproof them ... once they dry.

Mike Im jealous, the person that let me know these were in stock texted me pics of his shoes today, I didnt even know he ordered a pair! Now Im jealous of the both of you. My delivery date got moved to the 13th, for some reason. According to the tracker, they are still somewhere in a Hub in California.
I ordered a 13 as well and I am praying that they fit...you saying there is room gives me hope...keep your fingers crossed guys, please...Ive been looking more forward to these boots than the two fedoras on their way to my house.

Your time spent in waiting heII will be rewarded, I truly believe you'll be quite pleased.
Another thing ... these boots are quite warm! I was frost bitten years ago and suffered nerve damage, my feet seldom "feel" warm as a result. However today I had these boots on for six hours and my feet were toasty! Even when my socks got wet the boots kept my feet warm. I hope this effect lasts!

Could someone please post a pic of the back side of the boot, while worn? I would like to see how far up the boot goes around the ankle.

Does this help?

Yes, thank you!
The reason I ask is because of I have a permanent injury on the back of my ankle, and I was curious to see if the top of the boot would dig into the wound... fortunately, it looks like it will go over the injury, which is what I was hoping for.
Thanks! And congrats on the great looking boots!!!

Very nice...
I'm tempted to purchase a pair but I have wide feet so I'm not sure that I will be able to find a size that fits my size 11E foot...Who knows though I may just give it a shot and see what happens...Price is great and from those pics they look like they are very nice quality compared to the first batch...

The first chink in the armor.
When I removed the boots this evening I noticed that two of the eye hooks on the left side of the left boot were
bent.
Sadly, it took little effort to press them back into place with my fingers. The metal is weak. I like high top boots for the additional ankle support they provide. This support is null if you can't lace the boots tightly. It will only take a few such bendings before the hook breaks off.

Is the boot constructed so the hooks can be replaced? Also, anyone had this problem with the older Todd's boots?

In a word ... no. However a good cobbler
can do it. The price tag just keeps climbing. Perhaps the more expensive boot is the correct choice? I wonder it they have the same problem?
Any of you out there experience this with the other boots?
I have a pair of Herman Survivors I bought while still on active duty, they had the eye hooks. Not one ever bent on me. I still have those boots.

IF the boot is good otherwise, and a cobbler could replace the hooks for, say, $50, that's still a heckuva good deal compared to the $400+ Aldens. Still, would be nice to have it right the first time.
BTW, didn't Ford leave his top hook or two open frequently?
