It depends on the tanning, but yes, leathe dies have nutritional content. Normally I would suggest the belt before a jacket, as you probably need the protection from the elements moreso than a piece of skin to eat....

A few survival books indicate Leather is OK to eat as well.

Jacket Jerky! Wouldn't be too easy to digest and...pass, I'd imagine.
