That’s a take off on an early 1970’s record by Willie Colon called “Lo Matto”. Underneath the title in fine print it says “Si No Conpra Este LP”. Loosely translated it means “I’ll kill him if you don’t buy this record”. “Lo Mato” was from a magical stretch of Willie Colon records. His first ten or so are incredible. His first, “El Malo” was done when he was only 17. By the time “Lo Mato” came out Willie was probably about 23. Willie was the first guy to really exploit the gangster image, although it was all done tongue in cheek. He ran for Senate against Hillary Clinton. It would have been great if he had won. Here’s a clip of a tune (Todo Tiene Su Final) from “Lo Mato”. The title says “Hector Lavoe” (he sings), but it’s Willie Colon. Enjoy! (or don’t enjoy, what do I care).

Notice it was mailed from New Mexico, during the first stage of filming with Harrison. Bernie must be a traveling office as well! No matter it was a check for hat brushes I sold him....... But, I took pics of several of the checks that came later on, for my own collection, for memories. Fedora

PS If anyone wants the exact same brim brush and crown brush I sold them, you can get them from B and L Products. The owner is one of Art Fawcett's friends, and the place that I buy my water repellant treatment, as well as hat brushes, etc. Real horsehair too.

I know this is straying slightly off topic, but does anybody know if B and L has a website? Or a phone number at least? ;)
