Fedora wrote:I think I need to trim the AB brim. I do think it is too wide. Send her back, and I will do the trim the same day I get it, and ship it back fast. I can do that trim in a couple of minutes. I think it really needs it. Geez, what did I cut that brim anyways? 3 inches??? I am shocked. And I don't want that hat out there with the brim being out of proportion with your face. I sure missed getting that one right. Fedora
PS Oh, no charges for my screwups.
Thanks Fedora...i will take you up on my offer. I measured the brim today and it measures 2 7/8. By my measurements the SAB is 2 5/8. I really appreciate the offer Steve...that is what i call going above and beyond what is expected of you. And Seuss...i will be sure and get some new pics posted as soon as the fedora is back in my possession.

Ah, now that I know you bought this from another member, it makes me feel better!!! I felt I would not have cut the brim to that size for your facial shape, so I thought I had really screwed up big time. But the offer still stands. I don't want the hat to look "wrong" on you. My name is on the sweatband!!
Send it back and lets get the brim right. And I will soften it up for you as well. Regards, Fedora

that brings up a good question....how come you don't use "handcrafted by mr. steve delk" on your liner or sweatband? i think that would be a nice touch myself.

oops...should of put a comma in there....didn't mean 'touch myself'

G, you could always go back and edit that comma in there if you needed. Not sure how far back you can edit, but I believe if it was your last post in any given thread, you should be able to fix it.

Ah, a bit too egocentric for my tastes. I generally sign my name though, if I can remember to do it on most of the hats I make. Well, I started that recently I think. But right now, I think I am sorta "locked" in to what is already on the sweat. Too late to change if you know what I mean.
I recently changed the color of my sweats from antique roan to brown, and now I am locked into that color forever. Regards, Fedora

Well i was going to wait until i got my HJ reblocked before i posted pics of the AB, but i cant help it. I think the brim trim Steve did was right on. I think he took 1/4 inch off the brim width total. Needless to say this hat has continually grown on me. I very pleased how the hat is coming along and curious what everyone else thinks. Hopefully soon i will have some updated pics of the HJ but until then here are the before and after pics of the AB.

It looks perfectly natural, like an old "friend" that you've been wearing for years. You'll probably get a lot of compliments on this hat.

ydam, other than the lack of the turn ( Sorry I just love the look of the turn) that hat looks smashing. keep it unless you are my size.
