I'm not crazy about the 2 sequels, but I really liked the Fedora / young Indy beginning of LC. That's a cool hat!

Well, mine arrived this morning, and it's perfect. I must be a bit MORE than a long oval in head shape, as I still get that brim 'swoop' VP likes so well, and yet the hat is not much tighter to cause it to do this 'event'. I always experienced this with Akubras that were round shape to my long oval head.

It's VERY comfortable, and has already garnered 3 nice remarks from folks have seen me wear fedoras in and out of this place for over 14 years!

I think I have a new favorite hat, next to my dark gray. (grins)

Now before everyone starts posting 'Pictures...Pictures...' I'll see if I can corner my daughter to take some this weekend. Better yet, if Buff and I are successful in hooking up this weekend for a cup of coffee (he's down my way at a family wedding), maybe HE can get a photo for me. We'll see.

Just to briefly take this off topic, does anyone else get the pop-up that states:

Yeah, but you and Steve are so camera shy that we never get to see all these perfect hats. Now we have to wait for someone else to buy one and post pictures...

Perhaps it tries to connect to that server to catch the avatar, and then asks for a password for showing it?

Could be. I see a red "X" as an avatar and when I right click on it to view properties the message pops up, so it is trying to do something. It also happens when I click on the WWW button, though. Maybe double whammy?

Hmmm, in some ways I like the "Fedora fedora" better than the traditional
Indy fedora with the tight pinch and all. Looks a little less formal to me. I played around
with my Akubras in the past, taking out the front pinch and leaving the front straight. I think
hats look better on me that don't have a real tight front pinch, but then I've never been able to
achieve Fedora's (the hatter) look.
Out of curiosity, Fedora, will you be offering this model and what will the price be? I've always
intended to order an AB but "stuff" keeps getting in the way. (Food, utilities, taxes)
This would definitely be different than anything I own.

I've never been a fan of that tight, emaciated Raiders pinch. It's not very aesthetic, and can't be good for the felt in the long run. Now Abner's pinch is different; nice and healthy -- and subtle.

BTW the pinch in my avatar may appear tight, but it's at least one finger wide.

Nowhere, some guys just like to think that way. Some guys even think that he's actually Forrestal.

Name names, VP. I'm one of them, but I'm allowed, since most of the information in the fedora section is based on that type 'opinion'.

I thought it was "suggested" in the screenplay, or something like that?

It may be suggested or implied, but that sort of thing is done to generate interest. Keep you thinking about it, you know?

It was MORE than suggested in the first drafts of the screenplay as being 'Abner', but outright identified as being him, but eliminated from the last draft, as Lucas didn't want to paint himself in a corner by giving the character 'Fedora' a definiate identity.

It's still interesting to toss the 'Forrestal' idea out there, since folks like to 'develop' their own 'canon' of the Indy timeline.
