I was wondering how come, from the pics on the main page's section for the pants, the flaps look longer than on any of the replicas I have seen. I think it just has to do with the placement of the button on the back pockets. Could some one clear this up for me?
Hello, it was me the obsessed guy. I think I have a thread somewhere with those details.
As Magnoli said, he can make his pockets shape on customers' request.
Have a look at this viewtopic.php?t=15909

I am now offering these pants also in a 10oz pure cotton Cavalry Twill:

Image

From left to right: Dark Brown, Caramel, Sage, Camel, Beige, Khaki (Camel being the most accurate color)

These pants will be the same price as the other two fabrics currently available (wool blend and 12oz cotton). The benefit with these is that they are lighter weight (same as the wool blend) but entirely machine washable. Unofficially, so are the wool blends, but technically those are "dry clean only".

Kind regards,
Magnoli

I just got some great 10oz cotton in a color called "golden rod" (which is annoying because we have a 12oz cotton in golden rod that is completely different!). They are comfortable, practical and machine-washable!

Shown above with my shirt in "stone". I know some people will find the color too light, but these have the perfect amount of "pinkiness" for me.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

I hate reading stuff like this. I've got one order that I'm waiting for of three shirts and two pairs of pants and now I'm looking at placing another order! I need to learn how to relax and just wait.

Magnoli, how does Golden Rod compare to your Camel colour?

I'd be interested in these pants.
Is the cut around the leg comparable to the NH width?

Judging from the photo they look good for a LC pair. Just not sure about Raiders. :-k

The cut of the pants are really determined by your measurements. I've been tweaking my own specs for a while to arrive at the perfect Adventure Pants for me.

As for the color, they are darker than our standard camel cotton, but lighter than our camel wool. I really wish my supplier had a more standardized naming system!

Magnoli

This new cotton is the same price as our standard wool blend, so $109 for these pants (shipping included).

Indy

Hmm, okay, so I will just order some pants then, and send my sizes, and send an email with instructions to send the pants in the color "that you think looks the best!".

Here are some comparison pics of my dark khaki wool blend (on the left) and golden rod cotton (bottom center) with a stone Adventure Shirt on top and HJ on the right:

On my monitor, at least, the pants and shirt looks a bit brighter than they do in person, but these will at least give you the idea of tone. The cotton pants really have the WWII Pinks look to them, while the dark khaki is a duller color.

Magnoli

Woah, Indy!
That DIAGONAL seam over the flap pockets... am I the last one to catch up with these things (or the FIRST, this time)?
When did they show up?
Is this a new add?
Either way, LOVE it!

I've been trying to get my tailors to incorporate the diagonal seam for a long time, but with varied success. It'll be a standard feature from now on.

Indy

Can the pocket flaps have more scallop? It seems like they should, no?

How wide is the hem on the pants?

I'm trying to make up my mind on pants.. can't decide what material I want for Raiders... :-k I live in Fl, so am aprehensive on getting wool. [HOT] How is the twill as far as looking the part?

The hem is generally 2" wide, but can be left unfinished if you prefer.

The wool blend isn't very hot, it's not a pure wool. Personally, I love the cotton (it's what I wear), but the color looks more LC/CS than Raiders. A bit like this shot:

For this look:

...I'd say go with the wool blend...

Indy

Thanks, that was helpful! I need to lose a couple of pounds, then I'll order! :anxious: I gained a little weight over the holidays and haven't gotten serious about losing it until now.

Wool blend it will be then! And that width sounds good to me!

how much more is the wool blend?

It's the same as cotton. It's the 100% wool that's more.

What's the usual lead time on an order?

And, I'm more than a little nervous about ordering via MY measurements, it IS fairly simple so long as I follow the directions.. right? :[

The usual wait is about one month. As long as you follow the instructions you should be fine. You can e-mail me to discuss measuring and we'll be sure to get the right fit for you.

Kind regards,
Magnoli
