Compaired to a couple of my motorcycle jackets it's like wearing a sweater. My custom riding jacket I got made a few years ago weighs around 8 or 9 pounds. It's a real monster. But I'm so used to wearing it I don't notice until somone else tries it on and darn near gets knocked to their knees. I call it my Harley Flack Jacket. So the horse hide is much lighter than that, but heavier than my leather riding shirt. But, like I said, after wearing the monster, the horsehide is quite light.

Cheers!

Ah, ok, thats what I thought. :) Its like the Alden boots. A lot of people talk about how heavy they are, but I find them fairly average when I compare them to my mountaineering boots.

P.S. I just noticed the silver colored zipper on your jacket. 8)

I know.. I personally would have ordered a brass zipper, but since the price was right on e-bay, I couldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I've heard the same thing about Adens too. But since most of my work boots weigh a ton anyway, I figured the Aldens will be a light weight.

Cheers!

If I didn't have any backbone the whole torso would collapse under the weight of the jacket. It makes for a great workout though. :)

Cheers!
