Not reluctant, really. Just one of those things where you can hear how you've stated things in your head when you're typing. But, they never transcend to the written word!Dakota Ellison wrote:I didn't miss it. It seemed you were reluctant to mention it. About $600, right? You should wear it all the time.
You know ... sarcasm, suspense and the tone get totally lost! (At least for me.)
That's why I'm horrible at IM! And why Renderking, Michaelson and some of the other gearheads have such impressive writing skills.
I'll stick to teaching and the spoken word!

I don't HATE the turn, but I prefer most of my hats unturned. That, and my vintage Dobbs is a thin felt so it practically "turns" itself when you wear it. What I mean is that the felt has such a great character that if you end up wearing it a bit off center when you put it on, the turn happens naturally and you don't feel the difference while wearing it. Steve is pouncing my Adventurebilt thin like vintage felt, so that means that even though I'm getting the hat unturned, if I want the brim to act turned, then all I have to do is put it on at a slight angle and it'll do what I want it to do without feeling like the hat is sitting uncomfortably on my head. Does that make (redundant) sense?Melty Man wrote:Guys here love the turn or hate it. I love it. No question, turn mine. Twice! Did you ever see Langpuss' hats here at COW? They are turned and they are some of the best hats out there.I don't want to start too much of a debate but what about the turn?...How many think its essential to a good looking hat? I'm really not sure what to do when mine comes off the block.
I did not turn my gray lid, as Indy's gray was not turned. It still looks pretty good too.

And yes, Kilgour, I wear my hats to work.
