taikoubou,
That's a nice looking hat! Enjoy! What can you tell me about that Indy artwork hanging over your shoulder? That's pretty great!

Thanks for all the compliments! All very much appreciated, I assure you. \:D/

hoose55,

The artwork is actually a print from a man by the name of Jason Palmer. He was selling them at this past Phoenix Comicon, so I had to pick one up after seeing it. His artwork is fantastic. Last time I checked, his Indy print wasn't up on his page yet, but that was a little while ago. He might have it up there now.

http://www.jasonpalmer.net

When I talked to him, he was super nice and explained a little bit about how he goes about his artwork and some of the projects that he's done and is currently working on.

Anyway, I'm getting a little side-tracked! If the print isn't up there yet, I'm sure you could e-mail him from his page and ask about it. No harm in that!

Hope that helps you out. :)

Great shots tekors!!! Henry looks great on you!! Looks like you had a great time!

As I flicked through your shots, I suddenly thought, 'Whoa! His Henry has tapered loads', but then realised that was a different hat. Which hat is that? (Was thinking a re-bashed dorfman)

Thanks Ian...
Glad you liked the pics.
The other hat is a Herbert Johnson, which tapered even more with the environment (rain, sun, etc...) :| (not a resistant hat at all)
I gladly retired it into a box... :D

:TOH:

Ah. I was thrown off by the taper and the ribbon appeared to have a purple-ish tint to it.

Great to see the Henry being used for what it was intended for....Adventure!! :D

Those are a couple of GREAT profile shots, tekors!
You've already got a really wonderful face that has a good, rugged "look" that works well with a fedora, so THAT's already a nice start... but also working for you is the fact that the Henry could not suit you any better!
In fact, I think you both make a PERFECT match!
:D
Thanks for sharing these two excellent photographs!

Hey Mitch LaRue,
I do appreciate your comments. Thank you for the compliments. :TOH:
Really enjoy my Henry... and the good thing with it is that month after month it gets better, it shapes to your head, gets character... and with time should the colour fade away to a more lighter brown... it will be perfect. :whip:

Now I only need a truck to get dragged behind it... :P
Cheers

My Henry has only gotten better with age! The shape conformed perfectly to my head, the bash holds great and I love 'petting' it since it is soooo smooth!
It does need a brushing though, and a fresh application of fullers earth.

gF, I just want you to know that despite Ian kindly satisfying our fever for both some video of your Henry AND the power of dance  you should in no way think that we wouldn't still LOVE to see some recent shots of that beautiful Henry of yours (especially knowing that it's just getting better & better onya!)

The Henry is a wonderful hat. Thin felt, light. You almost think nothing is perched a'top ur gord.

Totally agree with Texan. The felt is so soft and thin, yet so resistant to the elements (and the 20% beaver does its job). Plus I have to say that the colour is starting to fade, so I presume it would look with a more accurate Raiders colour in the future.
I must also say that the crown and brim are getting floppy. IMO the Henry is more of a hat in between a factory made and a custom made... it has a bit of both. Amazing...

I only have the Henry (and my HJ that is in a box). It's my daily/adventure hat... maybe I get one custom in a future.. but for now.. the Henry makes me feel I don't need another hat.
I am really excited to see what my Henry would look like in a year or so.

Cheers

Here's me with my newly arrived Henry. It came yesterday and I requested that it be bashed in the classic Raiders style.

I liked it... you will feel the difference after 2 months or so, when the shape will get better and the hat will be conformed to your head... weeks after weeks you will notice how better your Henry will be.
