she's a 42R with about 2" hemmed off of the sleeves.....you looked a little tall for her. i'll definitely let you know though

Well, here it is! The Tony Nowak Indy 1 jacket!! The price was 975.00 with shipping it came to 999.00. I can safely say it is worth every penny. I feel I have bought my last Raiders jacket!!! As a matter of fact, I am going to get rid of all my other Raider Jackets! here are some pics, I know they aren't great, but right now it's the best I can do.

It is lambskin and it feels very strong.

what say you on the jacket itself? what kind of hardware is that on the straps? are those sliders? what's with the square x-box? are all these features on the original jacket?

the lamb looks to be that stuff todd used on my first custom......full of grain and character......how'z the drape and feel and weight?

sorry for the 20 questions, but i'm on the brink of taking the $1K plunge myself and want to be well informed.

The drape and feel are great. The weight is not as heavy as the KOTCS but it is heavy, not flimsy at all. I did not ask for anything on the jacket, so I think it is as copied.

I think that there might be some of us that would like for you take about 20 or 30 pictures (just kidding), because that might be as close as we get to having one of these. But please take the usual analytical pics so we can all nitpick or drool as the case maybe.

The jacket does look absolutely amazing however. It looks like it could definitely take a beating.

yeah, i noticed the yoke too. holt, your HH jacket looks closer to what ford hat in the peruvian temple....i was just hoping that maybe it's just the way its hanging on slydini's hanger. but please, please, please tell me the arm seam is below the yoke seam.......if that is not the case, this is a copy of a stunt jacket and not the hero jacket. definitely an awesome hide that mr. nowak picked by any means.

of course it could be the hanger that makes it look lower.but from the pictures it looks like the rear arm seam is lined up with the yoke.but slydini knows better.

would be great with some detal shots.

Well guys, the rear arm seam is lind up. I would contact Tony and ask him about this. He may have lined it up thinking it was an imperfection. We never discussed the arm seem. Sorry.

can you post some bigger pictures? Perhaps even some closeups on critical area's like the arm/yoke seam the pockets/ pocket flaps. Etc ?

regardless slydini, from what i've seen so far (mostly because that hide is just too gorgeous for words)......that's the best raiders jacket that i've had the priveledge of viewing. hope to see more pics. you should be proud of that beauty..........so.......uhm.........can i have it????

arm seam meets the yoke seam....exactlyl like the CS jacket. maybe holt can draw it in there for you.

if you need to know the configuration of the seams, check out wested's site with their washed lamb. it will be the same.

I think I like the CS better but we definitely need more pics. Lovely looking jacket just the same!

when i discussed this with him, he didn't go into any detail with the "where's" of the first jacket. the second jacket came from a producer who is in china (hong kong or singapore?)....probably out of his colleciton.

with these details in hand, the question for me is "am i willing to pull the trigger on a replicated stunt jacket from TN or go with a G&B for half the cost?".....and further to that......"how much liberty has G&B taken from _'s original specifications?"

_, did your specs call for that seam configuration or did your stunt jacket line up when you speced it out....and just had it modified based on what you saw on screen?

The yoke placement seems very curious to me. I don't know much about TN but from what I've read he sounds like the real deal. So why would he not include this detail? The small yoke is so key with Raiders.

Also-I thought TN was coming on here himself to give us details? But it looks like he's already making these jackets?? Is he open for orders?

Slydini, I'd like to see some more pics of your TN. I saw the one Lee Keppler sent to Peter in the mid 1980's to jog his memory away from what he refered to as the "Bellhop" jacket. I took some pics at the QM last year of it which unfortunatly were lost with my camera recently, but the yolk and sleeve seam and the X-box stitching sure look familiar. Maybe TN got ahold of a Leather Concessionaires jacket made "After Lee".

Tony is eager to get on the boards and introduce himself. He's just extremely busy a the moment and is a little unsure about the where's and how's of posting.

For the source of the jacket, check out _'s hint of what to look for. He also had a jacket from a customer in Honk Kong. That was indeed a Leather Concessionaires, but was not used for patterns as it didn't match the film-made jacket.

And before IndyBlues beat me to the punch, I've already reserved #612 in hopes that I can raise the money for one of my own. This time, he'll have to settle for #12 and we'll once again be in Bizzaro World. ;-)

what size is this? does it feel trim fitting or does it have a little room like I think the raiders jacket has?

the sleeves doesnt look trim either,they look kinda baggy.


does it have gussets?

Either way you can't got wrong. It's all about what you can afford. I have yet to hear anything negative about Tony Nowak or his product from anybody and the G&B track record is also on the up and up.

Hey don't forget Todd's Jackets which are imo much more accurate than thte G/B's and you can get them at 150 dollars. and if you want a price more in the GB range.

Now I have a serious problem!

That jacket looks fantastic, and I'm in the middle of trying to get wested to take my money right now for a custom from them...

So, do I scrap the horse hide Wested for a Nowak? (obviously, the Nowak is considerably more money)

If I did that, what is the expected lead time from Tony at this point?

The cost is a bit steep for that, but for a tailor made custom with the (presumably) most accurate pattern (yoke?) it ends up less than what I paid for my Schott by more than enough to buy a Todd's standard (if only they fit me!). And Tony's leather choice looks fantastic!

I say go for the wested. I'm not convinced by these pictures that it is the most accurate pattern out there. Imo it's too much money, and there seem to be a few details seen on screen missing or wrong.
