Well at least you have your jacket, right? :(

I see you mentioned a few days ago some issues w/ the girlfriend. Did it have to due with your gear collecting?

IJ,

Sorry to hear about your break-up, man. It's never easy, but time will heal the wounds. Keep your chin up!

On a brighter note, congrats on finally getting that long-awaited Wested!! You've been a patient man, considering all of the ordering issues. Good things DO come to those that wait! And there's nothing like the smell of a new Wested! Enjoy it! :)

Kind regards,
Craig

still in a foul mood. But seeing as how I now no longer have a photographer, I went out and bought a digital camera tonight. Let me know how bad these came out. Other then sleeping in it and pushing up the sleeves, I havent done anything to distress the jacket.

Still practicing the Mutt hairdo for the Supermegafest convention in Massachusetts in a few weeks. I think the back looks ok but not the front.

the jacket looks great.

the back will look better on pictures cause the back sits more firmly on
your back.the chest on the jacket is still stiff and ''boxy'' let it mold on you.it will look the part after months of wear.

took me an entire day to realize we werent talking about the same thing Holt. I meant that my Mutt hairdo looks better from the back than from the front, then when I read your advice I thought it was just a tip on what to look forward to with my jacket lol.

is it bad to sleep in your jacket every night lol?

I sent at thank you email to Peter. I didnt want to thank Gemma but its only fair. It seems like every jacket tells the story of the owner, and mine is no different. Just happend to get mine on one of the worst nights of my year. Its so buttery soft I dont want to take it off, its like a security blanket.

Hey Joyce,

sorry to hear about your girlfriend. :(

But hey, the jacket arrived!

Looks great on you man!

:) :) :)

By the way, I remember you posting that you had male pattern baldness? Well from the look of those photographs you have a full head of hair. So what are you complaining about?

:P

its the lighting. remind me to take a pic of the top of my head while standing directly under a lamp. basically this mutt costume will work for one year and after that i look like mutt in his 30's.

I am also sad to hear of your Girl-friend  My sympathies my friend, and I hope you will soon find your way again and are able to see things possitive again.

I sent Peter and Gemma a thank you note about the order. Circumstances being what they are I had to mention my status but played heavily on the fact that I do adore this jacket(this is so my security blanket now).

This is the response she sent:
Dear Adam,
Many thanks for letting me no you have received your jacket and how pleased you are,how strange is that getting the jacket the same day that your girlfriend left you.
At least you have a lovely new jacket to remember the date by now.
Take Care Gemma

Thanks Gemma. As great as the jacket is, and the fact that yeah it does hold me at night, its not the same thing.

Hey Joyce,
The jacket looks great! Enjoy my friend. So sorry again to hear about your girlfriend. Just keep your chin up. Always remember, better days are ahead.

PS I like the Millenium Falcon you got in the background; is that vintage? I see the new one out in the stores but don't feel like paying $127+ (Target has it on sale this week). Beside I have no room and my wife won't be happy me spending that much for something we don't need now.

So I plan on letting it distress as naturally as possible...but lately my love of TOD has grown to the point that I want to keep the jacket looking inbetween Temple and Crusade so I can do both costumes. Like Empire and Jedi with Vader, the suits are very similar and only really obvious to the well trained eyes of some of you. If I were to do a Raiders well I would have to get a whole new gunbelt, jacket, hat and whip. For starters lol.

Okay, according the tracking number Gemma gave me, my jacket is now in the US! However, it says it was delivered to the US Customs agency or whatever, and then the last update from the US customs (posted an hour and a half after it arrived in the US) says "attempted delivery." Does anyone know what that means? What do they mean by "attempted?"

Sounds like they went to drop it off and you werent in. They need a signature and they need money for customs. My jacket cost an additional 25 bucks.

Indy Joyce, first of all, the jacket looks really good and, from what I hear of the Novapelle, it will only get better.

I'm sorry for the circumstances that it was delivered, but maybe it came late so that you would have that to help you through your bad times. I've had my heart ripped out and sauteed on three separate occasions. Going through it, you think it will never end. But it does, and you never know what good things are around the corner. If I had stayed with any of those three hags, then I would never have found my wife and had my daughter.

I did the wet sleeve wrinkle yesterday. I had to drive over an hour to get to an event so right before I left I ran the sleeves under cold water, pushed them up my arms and drove to Concord NH.

I am sure that is not it. It would take more than an hour and a half to get from New York to MN. Right now it says it is being "HELD" which looks like bad news. Last time they held it they had it for about 2 weeks and charged me $26 something for it. Hopefully that is not the case since this jacket was an exchange.

Holt answered a question about Wested order sizes, and thought I'd post it here. He said that when ordering a Custom, the custom is cut 5 inches larger in the chest, than the size you normally report, like a 42 or 44, etc.

The Standard is cut 4 inches larger.

You might want to specify 4 extra inches for instance, when ordering a custom.

I post here my questions without open a new topic.

I've write Wested Holt's LC jacket specs and some other doubts for a jacket and other stuff I'll order in January.
Gemma reply to my mail (after TEN days) answering only one of my questions!

I write here my other questions for anyone who have time to clear my doubts. ;-)
- How much is the total cost of the jacket with special specs?
- Can I pay you with PayPal?
- Shipping (for ordering all this items) is free for Italy? I ask this because I see this into your online shop: adding this objects to cart the shipping cost for Europe is £0.00.

Many thanks to all can answer my three questions and happy Xmas to all! :whip:

You can pay with PayPal. You need to let them know ahead of time so they know it's coming. i THINK it is wested@wested.com for PayPal payment, but don't quote me on that!

I can't help with the other questions...

Thank you very much! ;-)
Now...two questions left! :)

by BazzanoJones
Gosh! I was trying to simulate my items and jacket PayPal checkout on Wested site and...I've bought all! I'm "lucky" because I was simulate items with all the correct measures and specs but...what a mistake! :(
I would have preferred to order all items in January and not now...but, at this point, I'm trapped... :x

I've send the special Holt's LC specs by mail and not in the form on the shop because...the shop form doesn't have enough space to type all the specs!
Now I truly hope that Gemma read my specs mail...

I'm a bit worried...hope all go in the right direction! :[

You should call them: that way you can make sure they got your e-mail and make sure it gets connected to your order.

Into my e-mail I've wrote mi name and, more important, my order number.
But yes, you're right, I would have to telephone they...but I'm very very dumb at speech english, I only write it a little...

If possible, can I ask a very big help from COW members?
Can anyone of english language call Wested for me and confirm my mail was associated to my order?
If anyone can make this ENORMOUS favor for me, please send me a PM.

Anyway, thanks to all for help and answers! ;-)

just in case.

you can send Gemma all your specs via email.

she likes to have them on mail.she then prints them out and gives them to her cutter, all after you have confirmed the specs...

send to Gemma@wested.com

or wested@wested.com

Posted: Tue Dec 23, 2008 3:53 pm
by BazzanoJones
Yes, thank you Holt, it's exactly what I've done! ;-)
I've sent an e-mail at Gemma personal address with my name, order number and all the specs.
My only doubt is that they receive the mail due to they "creative" firewall...

Posted: Wed Dec 24, 2008 8:17 am
by BazzanoJones
All ok! Gemma received my special specs associated with my order! :)
Now the waiting time, that will seem eternal...

But, when package will arrive, I'll own from a moment to another a quite complete Wested Indy appareal: LC jacket Holt's specs, pants, web belt, shirt and real new MKVII! :whip:

Waiting frenzy begin...

PS. One of the probable causes of the lacked mail answers by Wested was the typing of the mail address itself.
I see order confirm mail from Wested have the first capital letter (Wested@wested.com).
When I've write the mail in this way Gemma answered me within few minutes.

Yeah, I know this is an old thread... but with the current exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Pound, it might be time to get another Wested.

Right now I am looking at getting a Raiders in Dark Brown Lambskin. Nothing custom about it, except I need it in a 42L.

I started filling out the order form thing on the Wested web site, and the exact options for sleeve and back length that I want are not there. So should I just put those in the little special requests box? And then maybe shoot off an e-mail to Gemma and Peter to make sure those are the measurements I get?

Also, honestly, I hate that I have to pay a lot more for a size 42L, just because it isn't an "off the peg" option. But I have to get the 42L since it fits be best.

Does Wested still e-mail customers shipping numbers so we can track the dispatched jackets on Parcelforce?

SD,

If you ask for one, yes. If you don't email Gemma & request it, then you probably won't get it.

I'm I the only one who can't get to the Wested website right now? I have been getting the "Page Not Found" when I click on the "Enter the World of Wested" link.

gwyddion, I cannot remember the measurements off the top of my head, but they are the same as a 42L (as shown in the sizing chart on Wested's web site... which I can't get right now).
