I was walking after leaving the Bureau... and then they announced his resignation. Then, a group of youth, guys and girls, i n several car saw me... and offered me a ride...and we got caught in the heavy traffic with celebration and joy... Egyptian flags everywhere.
So, that became my story... the youth right there in the car....
The city is like a World Cup celebration. Amazing!!!
Holy smokes, tektors, I just saw this. I am so glad you are safe. That's too bad about the jacket, but as it was mentioned earlier, better the jacket than you! It makes a very unique memento of these recent events, though. Take care!
Just to tell you I got back form Cairo yesterday in one piece and had the pleasure to witness a historical moment of a revolution.
Some minutes ago I was with Peter over the phone and we settled the payment for my new Wested Raiders in soft goatskin. Since I asked for some specs, I paid a bit more.
So, now "I am holding on to my potatoes" and waiting for a few days to have my new jacket.
oki doki!!! Can't wait to have it!!!

Can't wait to see your new leather!
Hey Mitch,
I appreciate your words. Yeah, now I a in "anxious" mode... to see my new skin.
Incidentally, this speaks to the wide and varied diversity in backgrounds found on this forum. Its like, wearing the jacket in public is one of those badges that are either known or not, if one knows what to look for. One never knows where we might be lurking.....

I'm just now catching up on some of these threads, but...WOW, what a real life adventure! Now, that's what I'm talking about! ....the extremes that some guys will go to for a more screen accurate leather jacket.... You even managed to get shot on the left arm.
...just kidding, tekors! Glad to know that you made it out and back again safe and sound. Is there still unrest over there?
Well, I am an advocate of natural distressing (ok, not all natural, shower and sandpaper in small key areas) but that was too much oa natural way of distress the jacket...
Next time I will get under a truck to be dragged ...
Yes, things in egypt are back to normal. No it's Libya the mess.
No new adventures for me for a while, until... uh... next week
