I had hoped to have the final labels by now and to post the measurements right before I could send them out. I'll do it in the first week of January, when I can work at home only.

Marc

Jup
Finally got a sample label that I'm happy with (you can see it in the show off thread of mine in the gun section) and ordered 500 pieces which SHOULD arrive in 1-2 weeks!!!
I have contacted a tailor in the meanwhile to have the label sewn in, so it's finally comming to an end.

Marc

Good. Now would be a good time to start discussion on design and color of the shirt
.....huh....it's a done deal?
Oh, well then, carry on......

Good job, Marc! Finally this project is coming to an end, and I think it will turn out great. Can't wait for my shirt and holster to arrive...

So did they arrive yet? I'm in the army ATM so I'm a bit busy and can check the forums only during the free weekends, looking forward to receiving the measurements.

Yes they did
I dropped all the labels and shirts at my sewers place yesterday. So it's being worked on as we speak

I scanned over this thread,but maybe I missed the details. I am very interested in purchasing one of the new AB shirts. Will the size/ship info be posted on COW,or the AB website? Or just send PM to Marc? Thanks, Raider 57.

The sizes will be posted here very soon. I hope to fetch the finished shirts from my sewer this weekend
Info will be available on
www.adventurebilt.com but NOT before the revamp of the site

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I apologize Marc, I know English is not your native language, so it is very rude of me to laugh, but...perhaps you might consider changing "sewer" to "seamstress" or "seamster."
Technically your use of the word is correct, though it is little used and its alternate meaning (heteronym, actually) is far more widely recognized by native English speakers:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sewer
And please don't hold this against me when I order one of those lovely shirts!
Kind Regards,
Mac

What, Mac, didn't you know the shirts are coming predistressed?
Posted: Fri Jan 25, 2008 9:03 am

Exactly, like in Raiders:
Belloq: Where shall I find a new shirt so close to your own?
Indy: Try the local sewer.

Thank you for pointing out the error Mac!
I honestly appreciate it!!!

So when is the site going to get revamped?? I can't wait to get my hands on one these shirts Marc. Looks very SA to what it looks like in Raiders.
Is it going to be revamped in the next week, month, 2 months?

Frankly, I don't what the label looks like. I'm just looking forward to this shirt coming out. I bet AB is going to be on back order like crazy once everyone places an order for this shirt.

All Marc needs to do now is start making the pants. Between Marc, Magnoli, and Wested, there's going to be some competition.
Posted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 4:01 am
by Marc
Not quite!
We're in totally different markeds to be honest.
Peter offers a very close to original shirt for a very customer friendly price.
Magnoli offers the only Indy shirt that can be customized to your likenings, be it the cut or measurements.
My goal was to create the most screen accurate replica using a high quality pure cotton for the daily wear. However it only comes in off the rack sizes and with the current value (or the lack off) the Dollar, it's priced accordingly.
Same with the hats: While I'm after the high end stuff only, Magnoli offers a s.a. looking HJ for those who want that particular BRAND.
Different desires, different customers, different markeds

Marc

So Marc, will the shirt sizes be in S, M, L, XL? Or will they be measured like 15.5 by 36" like a standard dress shirt?

Well I would hope so before May
, I want to get one these shirts before the movie comes out. I do have a wested and it looks very close to the original shirt. I just would like another shirt that looks even a bit more screen accurate.
Is the shirt lighter or heavier than a wested? Can't wait to order one these AB shirts

Well I ordered my AB shirt, from the measurements Marc posted earlier this week I guess I am a small, I measured a shirt that fit me pretty well and compared them to Marc's measurements. I will take some pics of the shirt whenever it gets here, the sooner the better.
Thanks Marc.

As you wish...
It was a little bit too dark in my flat, the color of the shirt looks different in the bright sunlight.
@Marc: I hope it's okay, that I post some pictures here. If not, just tell me...

Wow that one nice looking shirt.
I can't wait to get mine, I ordered it last week sometime, but I am in the U.S. so it will be a while before it gets here. So IndianaLV you are the only one that has got one of these in their hands right now, lucky you. There is probably more people that have got these, maybe there just not posting yet.
I will definately post some pics when I do get my shirt though. By the way IndianaLV what size is that a Medium? Large?

That's a large one. Medium would have been fine too, but I ordered one size larger... it fits quite nice.

When I ordered the labels for the shirts, Steve hadn't received that letter from Lucasfilm yet, so I went ahead and bough... "plenty"
of the HP labels. I'll use them up before getting new ones, just as we'll do on the hat liners.
I hope the day will come, where I can make a living from this and I hope that this day will be this year. From that day on, I'll exclusively use the new logo, because that would be the day, where I was only doing it for pure pleasure. From that day on, it'll have to buy me food

Marc

I've been away from the computer for about a month, having moved back to Japan, and am a little confused.
Marc, have you posted the size info and have the shirts already shipped?

This is what Marc posted on our german Indy-Forum:
Ok, here goes:
Sleeve length from armpit to tip of cuff:
S=60cm/23.62" - M=63,5cm/25" - L=63,5cm/25" - XL=64,5cm/25.4" - XXL=65,5cm/25.79"
Sleeve length from shoulder to tip of cuff:
S=67,5cm/26.57" - M=71,5cm/28.15" - L=71,5cm/28.15" - XL=73cm/28.74" - XXL=74,5cm/29.33"
Chest measured on the front from armpit to armpit:
S=51,5cm/20.28" - M=54,5cm/21.46" - L=57cm/22.44" - XL=58cm/22.83" - XXL=60cm/23.62"
Shoulder width:
S=44cm/17.32" - M=45,5cm/17.91" - L=47cm/18.50" - XL=48,5cm/19.09" - XXL=49,5cm/19.49"
Total length measured in the back:
S=81,5cm/32.09" - M=84cm/33.07" - L=85,5cm/33.66" - XL=87cm/34.25" - XXL=90cm/35.43"
Neck circumference measured from bottom hole to bottom (not sure how much sense that makes on an Indy shirt, but here you go):
S=37,5cm/14.76" - M=38cm/14.96" - L=39cm/15.35" - XL=39,5/15.55" - XXL=41cm/16.14"
Example: I'm 185cm and 83kg / 6'1" and 166 pounds. The M fits fine, but so does the L, depending on how much I just ate...
I hope this can be used.
Best regards,
LV

Yes, 40° C and let it spin-dry. It looks even better after you wash it.

what´s the price!
One of your hands along with two of your other fingers (preferably your thumb and index finger), three of your toes off of the foot of your choosing and if you are missing a finger you may substitute another toe or vice-verse.
No, seriously, the price should be found somewheres in this here thread if you just pony up and do yourself a little lookin'.

I paid 55 Euros I think, I believe that is still the price for the shirt. Mine should be hopefully here pretty soon along with my AB holster.

55 Euro was the pre-order price for those who were willing to take the plunge without seing the final product. That way fellow fans helped me to scrap the money together for the actual order and in return I could offer a discount.
The actual price incl. worldwide shipping is 69 Euro.

Marc

WOOOOWWW just got my Adventurebilt shirt today in XXL and its fantastic!! Thanks marc i love this shirt, cant wait to wash it tonight and get that wrinkle look going. The WPG shirt feels like a garbage bag compaired to this shirt. Awesome job man, love it!!!

Listen Marc,only thing left out that measurementlist is "shoulderseam to neck", that´s at least what I need for the right fit.
Oh, are the numbers same to the back as they are to the chest?
Armpit to armpit (?) XXL: 60 cm X 2=120cm, to me that seems little tight...
Indakin comments,you own one!
New AB vs New TODD`S comparison would be nice :!:

I got mine in the mail today - thanks Marc! It's a bit big, but I'm afraid the M would be too small.
