In my opinion the bottom on the epaulettes was off and I told my shirt maker to correct that. The shirt are all done and I will HOPEFULLY receive them within the next weeks.

I'm sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, but what is the pre-order price? Thanks

55 Euro via Paypal incl. shipping.

Hmm, any chance you guys will be offering a LC shirt anywhere down the line?

I doubt it. For that we're WAY too much in love with anything Raiders
And it's quite an expensive journey to buy 100 shirts as well.

Marc is that the EU price too? Which size equates to a Wested small shirt?
Posted: Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:51 pm
by Marc
Hey Jason,
yes, that is the EU price as well (less shipping, more taxes
).
They should be standard international sizes, but I'll post the measurements once they arrive, for those who pre-ordered.

Marc

What about those who are hesitant to order because they don't know their size?
Posted: Wed Oct 17, 2007 1:10 pm

I've sold plenty of shirt to those who don't know their size. Once they arrive, I'll post all measurements on the different sizes and than each and everyone can pick what matches best.

Would it help if I told you I had diplomatic immunity? (I don't but what's the harm in trying?
)

Marc, do you have an estimate as to when these are due to arrive?

That's not a bad price at all. What will shipping to the US be?

Yes, because I haven't received them yet.
Would it help if I told you I had diplomatic immunity?
How about the full set then? - Hat, shirt, holster, bag strap buckle. Just pay me in gold
Marc, do you have an estimate as to when these are due to arrive?
They all made, but when speaking to my shirtmaker on Saturday, he didn't know when he's comming to Germany next time. So all I can do is playing the waiting game. And to quote Homer Simpson: The waiting game *****
That's not a bad price at all. What will shipping to the US be?
55 Euro. I'll send a full package of shirts to Steve once they arrive and he'll forward them. So that won't make a difference.

Marc

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I just gotta ask: Will the sizes (S,M,L, etc) of the AB shirts be copies (measurement-wise) of the N.H. shirts? Or will these shirts have a different fit altogether?
The reason I ask is because I've just recieved my NH shirt, and honestly, it pretty much has pretty much a perfect fit, which is rare to get in on off-the-rack shirts. So I was wondering if the AB shirts would fit just the same?

The size L will be exactly like the old MBA shirt and the rest according to international standards. I'll post meassurements once they arrive.

Marc

Marc, if you're interested, I'd be more than willing to loan ya my Noel Howard size M to pull the measurements off of. After all, nothing says "Indy" on an Indy shirt more than that slim-fit!

Thanks Castor, but the shirts are already made. I just don't have them in my hands yet

Hey gang,
I received a surprising call from my shirtmaker today, that a friend of his would be on his way to my office with 30kg / 60 pounds of shirts. And sure enough, after a couple of hours, I was called down to fetch something
I RAN down to see a car trunk FULL of shirts
So I grapped a huge box and started counting while unloading the trunk, moved them over to my own car and left immediatly
Back home I ripped the box open, pulled one out and ??? THAT was worth the wait
Sorry for the blurry pictures, but when the sun isn't shining, I can't take any pics in direct sunlight
Here it is, sporting my 10' Pagey:
...and an AB gunholster:
All by itself:
...and a closeup of the incredible well done stitches
Hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks to all who took the plunge and pre-ordered one for the special price. I haven't calculated the final price yet and I also need to have the labels made and sewn into the back before I can start shipping them. But I wanted to let all of you that have been waiting for so long know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Regards,
Marc

dang i just discovered this thread - marc, is it too late to get the "pre-order" price?
also, i saw some folks asked about it - are these cut to a "slim" or "athletic" fit or for more of a full-bodied fit? (hopefully the former!)
Posted: Thu Nov 08, 2007 12:59 am
by Marc
I offered a pre-order price for those who'd take the plunge and support me on the purchase without seeing the final product, so it would be unfair to still offer them for the pre-order price, considering some people have been waiting for six months and longer by now.
The shirts are cut slim / athletic
I'm above 6' tall weighting 165 pounds and the size large fits like a glove. Not baggy at all and a great feel to wear. If I wouldn't know it better myself, I'd think it's made to measure

Marc

In that case, you will find a new order on your Paypal account as soon as you post the new price. Can't wait, shipping shouldn't take that long to Holland!

Ok, I've done the calculation on the shirts now and also spoke to my shirtmaker, who requested to order at least 200-300 shirts next time
So, in case Steve still is in for forwarding the for US and Canada orders, it'll be 69 Euro shipped for those in the US, Canada and Europe. If you're in Asia, Africa or otherwise long distane from both Steve and me, please contact me for a quote, and I'll call up the p.o. regarding shipping.
Regards,
Marc

Hmmm... I came up with 95 bucks when I checked earlier today...
I should stop spending all my money on such projects and rather buy some Dollars and just wait. That low value of the Dollar is just so darn annoying

Are the epaulettes still pointed...? Sorry to keep beating (kicking, jumping on, punching) the dead horse here. Just wondering.

The epaulettes are NOT pointed any longer
I've been VERY carefull to read all of the HIGHLY appreciated input I had from you guys and my shirtmaker has been going minutious over every ever so small detail. Things like the botton hole's cross pointing towards the hem, the epaulettes and of course the pen opening on the left pocket (thanks Lee) are all correct now. The bottons are stitches on by hand(!!!) and finished with a knot, as well as other parts are done by hand. No big deal you might think, but try to walk into the next shop and look how the bottons are attached on their shirts. Of course I cannot speak for those available in the U.S., but over HERE the end on the botton stitches are lose, as they're machine stitched, and the bottom will come off rather sooner or later (I've gotton quite good at putting them back on again
).
On these exchange rates... MAN!!! Why can't I buy my felt in the US??? - Gosh!!! I've already been contacted by (European) customers, that for that price, they'd take a second one... No wonder, as it's the same price as 12 gallons of fuel over here

Marc
