Yeah, I've been lurking on his site for quite a while, planning out an outfit. I have a Professor's Diary on order with him now that I'm looking forward to and have heard wonderful things of his clothes.

I must have completely missed the boots, luckily I saw this thread.

Congrats on the Professor's Diary purchase, fourzerotwo. I have a pair of the adventure pants & shirt. The fit is perfect on both of them. I love the custom made feature of his offerings and his attention to detail. I can't wait for these boots to come in.

Thanks. Now I just need to decide if I want to use it to track my own adventures or make an attempt at a replica of sorts. The boots look fantastic, be sure to take some pics when you receive them.

Planning on keeping them pure or is distressing in order? It'd be hard to bring yourself to distress such a nice pair of boots...

I'm a firm believer in "natural" distressing. I'm planning on putting those boots through plenty of adventures. They'll gain plenty of character along the way. The boots I currently own have endured many an adventure. They have plenty of character, but they finally gave up the ghost. Hiking the Grand Canyon pretty much did them in, & I've been looking for a good replacement pair ever since. I think I found them.

haha.. very nice. I completely agree with that mentality, my current "indy footwear" are just close enough boots I recently picked up with the sole purpose of distressing for the movie premiere. I hope to follow suit and get a pair of authentic Indy boots (such as these) for actual use in the future.

I purchased a pair of these boots, chocolate without the moc-toe, and was fairly dissapointed. The boots felt too short, the soles were thin, and the heels were on the wrong feet when compared to the Aldens (Aldens on the bottom):



I feel for the money that the Aldens are a better deal.

That makes the heel curve completely useless.
The whole point is to prevent ankle inversion.

does anyone have any wear updated on these?

I'm curious to see how they hold up over time.

Mine have been worked hard over the time I've had them (they're the rugged version) and they've travelled to many countries and have been hammered in rain and mud. They are STILL in good, strong shape and aside from two of the lace-eye's coming off which was easily fixed, they have always fit like a glove, never given me a single blister or failed in any way.

I couldn't recommend them highly enough..
