AC - Can you tell us the unhemmed lengths on these? The one I got - a 34" - is just long enough for me to hem it, but there doesn't seem to be much extra. I'm only 5'8", though, and typically wear a 33" length.

Are all the pants the same length, or do they vary?

Well, I'm only 5'4" so I had plenty of room for hemming. I don't see what the problem is, Jerry... What, are you taller or something? Just shorten your legs a little.. DUH.

When I picked them up and measured them individually there were 3 groups. 33", 33 1/2" & 34" inseams. I had to seperate them by waist and inseam.

Jerry, yours were the 34's. Just wondering, how do you wear them? Right on the waist? You should have had more length than what your saying. That's odd. I wear 32's and had a lot of extra material. Almost 3" worth.

Don't know why yours are coming up short. What do they measure now?

Nah, they're still 34...but I haven't actually had a chance to hem them yet - I'll post again after I do. Right now I just folded them in for a quick length check, and it was enough to hem, but it didn't seem like a lot extra.

If you subtract Bink-height from Jerry-height the math works, though, so I'll just have to let you know after I hem them. Back to the needlework...

You know, I was going to say I don't notice so much bagginess...but then I also see from the QM pics of myself that my Ben & Jerry's diet appears to have gone awry...so let's just say they fit well, and I don't know why.

Imagine how wrong it'd gone if you were on a Tom & Jerry's diet. Or a Bink & Jerry's diet.

Antiquity Collector, thanks for the swell trousers! They just arrived this afternoon- which is completely bizarre, since it's a Saturday and those slackers at Canada Post never work past 4pm on a weekday.

Though the waist is unusually high, they fit perfectly! Just freakin' perfectly! And they're super comfortable - not only that, they look brand new. These pants are in astounding condition! erfect tan/khaki colour for my tastes, and they have those awesome pocket flaps and such. The button fly will take some getting used to, but these pants are all around great! I'll have to hem them up at the cuff, but that's no biggie at all.

I'm immensely pleased with these. Thanks again for locating and supplying these, AC, they indeed rawk most heartily, as do you.

One thing not listed in the Indygear main site is a full length mirror in which to admire one's self in full Indy finery and glory.

Considering washers of the era had those torturous lookin' ringers and dry cleaning wasn't invented until the 1950's, I'd risk the modern warrrshing machines myself.

I tossed mine in the washer and dryer, but I'd recommend wahing them in cold. I think the length shrunk just a bit on mine, though all I have to do is pop out the hem and adjust them. Also, keep in mind that these pants can wrinkle.

Bink, would you suggest washing them before hemming? Or is stuff like this going to keep shrinking each time if you don't wash them in cold?

Good question. I had mine hemmed before I washed them. When I washed them, it was in warm water, not hot. I'm not saying that they'll shrink with every washing, and they didn't shrink much, but cold may be the way to go with these pants. Make sure you iron them before taking them to get hemmed, too.

Nah, I'm gonna look up that hemming thread again and do them myself. Amazing how little time two kids leaves you...LOTS of little projects in the wings...

Hi and I sent you a private mail as I need one pair in 34" waist and 31" inseam. If unhemmed, 32" inseam should be fine.
