Oh my goodness, you saved the tags! Gee whiz, man, that's some nifty stuff. And check out the price... Your Wested probably cost you about the same today.

As to breathing some new life into that old jacket, I recommend some brown Pecard's leather dressing.

The funny thing was, about ten years ago, it seems like I remember the price of the Wested being $250, but that was probably the base price for an off-the-rack standard jacket. I'm sure the exchange rate has altered over time.

I may have to get some of that stuff... I'm going to pick an out-of-the-way spot and try a bit of my standard Pecard's that came with my David Morgan whip. I've read here that some people have had the brown pigment rub off onto things, like car seats - can't have that.

Back then, it was $37.00 to get into Disney/MGM Studios Theme Park, where the Adventure Outpost was located - now I think it's $90.00 to get into the park... yikes.

I sure am glad you ordered my size, can you box it up and send it out pronto? Undoubtedly, the sizing might be a little off, etc., you might want to tweak a few measurements...and you couldn't be that attached to it at this early stage, could you? :-k

Speaking of, G&B has some of the softest goatskin Ive ever seen. Ive often wondered how they got it that way. Goatskin is great when it softens up.

Yeah, I was surprised how soft and supple the goat sample was, and even with that, I figured since it had been nearly a year since I received them, the goat used in the finished jacket could very well be stiffer or different, but it drapes nicely and feels great.

I'm happy to say I will probably never need another Indy jacket... :)

...if only Drac could wax the 'stach that coarse! :P

up from the castle Drac's voice did ring
seems he was troubled by just one thing
he opened his coffin and then shook his fist and said
whatever happened to my Transylvania twist

...they did the mash... :-

All in all, what are the differences in your old jacket and this new one....?

I'll have to lay them out and make a list, but it's easier to do with pics, and since I'm at my maximum in this thread (and have already had to cut in half the number of pics I *wanted* to post  ) I should probably start a different thread on that subject.
